Actually, most people will not go there for shopping, except for the Nakumatt supermarket that attracts a lot of customers largely from the diplomatic community in Gigiri and some shops, but it remains largely an entertainment place with some good restaurants, a cinema theatre and an exhibition hall. Its open air ambiance makes it different from some of the other shopping malls in Nairobi but its limited parking space makes it virtually impossible to go there over weekends and public holidays. Shopping malls in Nairobi are becoming thirteen to a dozen and more 'localized' in many areas as people avoid going great distances to visit the distant ones due to the ever worsening traffic jams in the city. OK but not something to 'wow' over.
