“A Good Shopping Center in a Convenient Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

The Ya Ya Center is located between the Junction and the Center. There are three cafes, a juice bar, and several up market restaurants. There is also a very good book shop with plenty of titles on Africa. There is a well stocked fruit market as well as a very good supermarket. There is a sporting goods store. There is public transportation available from Ya Ya Center as well as plenty of taxi cabs. The security is excellent. However, I must comment that prices at Ya Ya aren't cheap.

“Great Supermarket & Nice Cafes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

Upmarket shopping centre. Very pleasant with good parking - a few nice cafes and a well stocked supermarket. Aimed at foreigners and wealthy Kenyans.

“Shop till you drop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

The Yaya Centre is located along Hulinghum about 10 minutes drive from the City Centre. The shopping mall host several shops that range from Art Gallery, a food court, a bar plus several clothing shops. There is the open air Masaai Market on Sundays where one can buy great Kenyan artifacts.

“I like YAYA Centre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

I do like YAYA Centre. I've spent many an hour there whilst waiting for friends (who were stuck in the Nairobi traffic lol!). It's well contained with a nice range of stores. The bookstore is well stocked and you could easily spend an hour in there alone looking at the titles. The children's toy shop is very well run and I've had occasions to shop there over the years. If you happen to buying a present for a child in Kenya it's worth a visit (not so much for buying a Kenya gift to take back overseas). It has a nice Java House and a Nakamatt, which is always handy. It's easy to access if you have a car, and has a taxi rank outside, which tends to always have at least five taxis to hand so no waiting. Obviously it is well serviced by matatu also.
