“Every chance I get!”

This is the most wonderful place to eat Ethiopian food in Nairobi!!! Service can be a bit slow, but the food is worth the wait.

“Habesha - A truly refreshing experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013

A very satisfying evening out in the garden.Informal setting for dinner followed by great coffee "ceremony" by the fire. The staff are friendly and helpful in choosing what to order. One has to visit it to savour the experience and to get a feel of Ethiopian food and culture. The food portions are generous and quite varied.Very reasonably priced too.(review by Kirti n Kim)

“Excellent tastes from Ethiopia …. A Must visit place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

It was one of the most special dinner I had today from Habesha Ethiopian restaurant at Nairobi. Guys … I have only one message for you … you should visit habesha restaurant & try the tastes of Ethiopian cuisine, if you are in Nairobi … you will not be disappointed …

The coffee they served was very traditional, enriched with fragrance of frankincense & some popcorn.

Also the price was reasonable.

“A great experience in exotic cuisine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

For me as a European, Ethiopian cusine was a first-time experience. Although the food I ordered - fish that came finely hashed and in a yet unexperienced hot flavor, I really liked it very much. Of course, the quantity was too much for me, as I came to get used to in Africa. For people who really like to try food that is new to them a real great experience!

“Experience Ethiopia over your lunch/dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

If you've never been to Ethiopia and want to learn more about its culture sitting in Kenya then go have a meal at this place. It's not just a restaurant but a small community in itself. It has a restaurant, bar, shisha lounge, chai (tea) area, barber shop and a general shop kind of place where all things Ethiopian are available. From the staff to the food to the paintings on the wall, everything is 100% Ethiopian and yes the food is awesome too.
