The hotel has an amazing restaurant and a great pool. I would definitely stay again at this hotel but i should point out that one night they had a belly dance Party in the roof terrace and the noise kept us awake until they finished at 12. That is REALLY LATE in Egypt, considering that you have to wake up at about 6am to avoid the heat and the crowds of tourists at the sites. Our room was really nice and it had a great balcony overlooking the pool area- i think it was the 224. If you are a light sleeper, you should call the hotel in advance after you've made your reservation and mention " their occasional" party- im sure they would put you in a room away from the noise. They were super nice and helpful. The pool is definitely great, the breakfast was the best we had in Egypt, the location is very good- you can walk to the ferry to cross to the east bank. I do recommend staying at the west bank which is a lot more relaxed and gives you a real feel of the tranquil traditional Luxor life. Its also closer to most of the places you would want to visit. Only Luxor temple and Karnak temple are on the east side and you can walk to Luxor's and take a taxi for like 10 egyptian pounds to Karnak's once you are on the other side. For the rest of the sites you would need a taxi for the morning- or the whole day, depending on how many you can do in one lot- or book excursions. If its not very hot, you could cycle to a few places but we went there in May and the heat after 10 am kills you.
