“Great restaurant on West Bank.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014

Landed into this restaurant getting confused with the Nile Flowers restaurant(which was closed for renovations) However we were glad we did because we had an excellent and very cheap meal which we both thoroughly enjoyed and one of the most authentic Egyptian meals we had in Luxor. The ice cold bottles of Stella were also most welcome after trekking around the West bank.

I stayed overnight at the Nile Valley. Family run hotel nothing too much trouble for customers. The roof top restaurant has a lovely ambience and stunning views. We were lucky enough to be in the restaurant while all the firework celebrations were going on for the new president. The view was panoramic.
We ate several times in the restaurant, the food was very good and low prices. The hotel is in the West Bank which is the real Luxor.
Rooms were large and the shower room huge as was the shower. Think the shower was the biggest I have come across any where.
The pool is small but very nice and the pool area is a nice space to relax with a pool bar to get your drinks. The hotel will arrange trips/camel rides/horse and cart rides/boat rides for you and will help in any way they can.

This was our second trip to Egypt and we stayed at this small hotel on the West Bank of the Nile.
The staff is friendly, you can organize trips to all the major sites in Luxor by asking the staff.

They operate below market rates (Checked!) and that fact makes life for a tourist easy.

Healthy donkeys for a donkey ride, clean car to drive you to the Valley of the Kings etc. Good transportation by boat to the East Bank by boat, and as mentioned by others a great view over the Nile. Small swimming pool in a secluded area. Restaurant serves excellent food. We slept on the first floor and had clean rooms.

Take the boath to Karnak, and wander around.
On the East Bank, we booked a Kalesh (horse and carriage) for a week (see picture) from Hamid. He will drive you anywhere for a reasonable price. Just show the picture to other Kalesh drivers and they will point him out: it stops the other Kalesh drivers from bothering you.

Room Tip: We slept on the first floor, and can't recommend other rooms. Airco is standard.

We were staying in Hurgada and drove down to Luxor and decided to look for a hotel on the West Bank. Nile Valley overlooks the Nile so we went in to enquire if they had rooms available. We were given keys to a couple of rooms to choose from. The room was a good size with a huge comfy bed, AC, a balcony that overlooked the Nile and was very clean and tidy. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, my husband likes to watch the news where ever we are, but we found the tv wasn't getting a signal, we mentioned this to reception and within half an hour they had it sorted.
The restaurant is a lovely place to sit and watch all the comings and goings of the Nile. The food is good with a good choice and we found the table only just big enough for everything they bought out for breakfast, they like to please.
They also sorted out a balloon trip the next morning for us and boat rides on the Nile.
All in all this is a lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff who go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.
If you are in the area but not staying, just try the restaurant it is so relaxing.

Room Tip: I think the rooms in the new part are quieter as they are not facing the road.

I have not found a restaurant with a better view of the Nile in the whole of Luxor. The food was as good as any 5* hotel with the added advantage of a friendly family owned hotel. I cannot recommend it too highly.

Location is perfect, close to the ferry. The view from the rooftop terrace is stunning. And I was pleasantly surprised with my room.... very spacy, lovely big bathroom and plenty of space for your clothes and other stuff. I even had my own balcony with a lovely view on the Nile and Luxor temple.Over the years I frequently visited the restaurant for lunch and the quality of the food varied but they have a new chef and the food was excellent. And it is great, that they have a nice swimming pool where you can relax after visiting the sights......
All in all I had a wonderful stay !!!
