“Must see for anyone intrested in egyption ancient history.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

The best musium Ive been in. Its low key lighting adds an atmospheric touch to the amaizing collection of artifacts. Tutankamuns chariot is worth going to see on its own! Lots of well presented pieces in good suroundings.

“Small but worth seeing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

This museum is tiny compared to Cario but it is certainly worth going to.
It's peaceful, quiet and you can take your time.
There are some interesting pieces in side the museum ranging from the end of the Old Kingdom right through to the Mamlunk period.
There a 2 mummies in the museum - Ahmose 1st & a mummy that could be Ramses 1st. They are both very interesting pieces and a highlight.
Worth going to for sure.

“Wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

You almost can't beleive what you see. Some of the treasures you see in Luxor Museum are unbelievable. The museum is not too small and not too big. We spent abour 1 1/2 hours there.

“Small but lovely and well-presented”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

The collection is only a fraction of what's in the Cairo Museum, but what they have is well-presented and with particularly informative explanations. Also, a lovely building.

“wonderful place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

the greatest i have ever seen in Egypt, no doubt, I prefer it even to the great museum of Cairo (The Egyptian Museum) ... the best museum all over Egypt .. the greatest masterpiece there which you shouldn't miss is the great statue of king Thutmus III (Tutmosis III)
