“Very good hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013

This is a very good hotel to stay in Luxor. It has a swimming pool, restaurant, good rooms, and very nice people.
Cleaning is ok, restaurant has good food for good prices. Every place has air conditioning so you can really enjoy being there.
It really worths.

hi its kath again just got back from my stay again at the gaddis i have been going to luxor for 20 years and have stayed in most of the hotels there but the gaddis is the best for feeling safe and being looked after at NO extra charge you request a kettle in your room in minuites its there most things are no trouble for guests the house keepers are brilliant and trustworthy in all of my stays i have never found any thing missing and i just toss my money and jewellery on top of drawers and NEVER had anything go the bar staff are very good they seem to know when you need a refill even when a lot of folk are in also the meals you can have are very good 5star at 3 star prices the manager and owner ALWAYS have the time for a chat its like one big happy family i am off again to spend christmas and new year there i love it ok its only 3 star and you get what you pay for but i think its a very nice to stay and will continue to do so

Room Tip: ask for a room at the back as luxor never sleeps

Best hotel by far I've stayed at in Egypt! Super friendly staff, reasonable prices, and nice rooms with powereful air conditioning!

Having spoken to other tourists at the sites, many said they were paying far more than we were for 5 star hotels, but our 3 star had better rooms and toilets (not always a guarentee in egypt) than theirs for a lower price!

If you need anything at all, the Gaddis staff will get it for you. They have free wifi, a restaurant and bar (quite good food for only 35 egyptian pounds), and lovely rooms. They even helped put together a birthday surprise for me when my friend asked!

Centrally located, rooms a westerner will feel at home in, and the nicest staff you could find - the Gaddis may be a 3 star hotel, but it's a 5 star in my book!

i have just returned from the gaddis hotel in luxor and have travelled in cairo alot ,may i say that this hotel is as good as any one that i have stayed in over the last twentyyears, great staff helpfull and hard working from the cleaner,s to the manager, there is a lot of what i would say as colourfull brits that stay at this hotel, and on satuday night they had a kareoke, egyptian dance night, and the highlight was a fantastic belly dancer who it turned out was british, great entertainment with a great atmosphere, there is a fantastic 3 corse meal deal for three ponds fifty, bottled beer is a pound a bottle, there is a lack of tourist in luxor due to the revolution ,but the people there are friendly i cant wait to go back best hotel in luxor barring none

Room Tip: get aroom at the back of the hotel less noisey

I am going to be 100% honest. I arrived back in the uk last night, after 1 week at the Gaddis. The staff at this hotel really do save it as they are all wonderful. The reception staff, the guy on the door, the waiters, the shop, they are all great. I felt like we were true friends, and every time I passed they would ask after me, and we would have wonderful conversation. The rooms are a little shabby, but it does depend on what you want. If you want glitz and glamour, go to Milan or somewhere, not a middle eastern country in financial and economic decline....

My room had hot water, a very comfy bed, a tv, and all the usual bits. What more do you want as a base in Egypt?! It could do with a lick of paint, but so what!

This was my first time in Egypt, and I will not be returning for a while due to the struggle I had with the hassle from the locals. I was travelling alone, and I simply had NO peace from any of them. Every step I took outside was followed by another Caleche driver or taxi or beggar saying they worked in the kitchen or they knew me. I have been in many countries where people hassle, but here a simple "La Shukran" does not work, I was hounded for my entire journey, lost lots of money and came home exhausted. Until the tourist police sort this out, I will sadly not go back, as I go on holiday to relax, not get stressed!! This saddens me as Egypt is a stunning country with lots to offer, and I spent time in Cairo, and both banks in Luxor, amazed at what I saw there. But the nice people in my opinion are being shadowed by the nasty people outside who see you as a walking wallet. I FULLY understand the crisis they are going through, but by being so aggresive in their technique, they are actually driving people away. But thank goodness for the Gaddis. I was happy to return there each night.

Thanks guys

Room Tip: Wifi gets non existent after 3rd floor....
