“Wonderful Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

This is a wonderful hotel along the Nile. It's close to Karnak Temple but a bit distant from the city center. However, the hotel runs a shuttle in to town if you want to leave the resort. The resort itself is amazing and we had a wonderful time. The staff was courteous and attentive. The facilities were clean and well kept. The food was really very good. There weren't many other hotel guests and that was a bit sad. We would stay here again on our next visit to Luxor.

Room Tip: We had a deluxe guestroom with a river view and a small terrace. Well worth staying here. I don...

My husband and I stayed here for a week after a 7 night cruise on the Nile (we were templed out and needed a week relaxing)!! We were not disappointed. The hotel is an oasis on the Nile, it's smaller than the others in Luxor but this suited our needs perfectly.
The outdoor space is very inviting with 2 pool areas to chose from, the infinity pool is the quieter of the 2 and you think you are going to end up swimming in the Nile!! There are more than enough very comfortable beds to chose from, and you can even have a swing in an egg (pod)if it takes your fancy, there are also hammocks for 2 to share.
There are many different areas outside to chose from which are all very relaxing, especially the Shisha area.
The hotel has a very contemporary feel, and under went a £30 million refurbishment programme 3 years ago.
There are 3 restaurants to chose from, the main buffet area known as Rosetta, then the Asian fusion Silk Road, and Olives which is outdoor dining.
There were not a lot guests staying when we there, so you got to know to staff quite well, and each and every one of them could not do enough for you, you were made to feel very special everyday.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family if they were visiting Luxor

A wonderful experience - a lovely setting on the banks of the Nile, great food, and excellent service. With hotel half empty because people have been put off by the fears of riots (which are confined to one small part of Cairo), we enjoyed real pampering by attentive staff with first-class food in the restaurants. Much the most relaxing way to see the antiquities at your own speed rather than in a crowd on a boat. Only one criticism - 'half board' confines you to the main restaurant buffet, which although excellent does become monotonous after a few days, and you have to pay extra to use the other a la carte restaurants

Room Tip: Worth paying the extra for a delux river-view room with balcony but make sure its on the second or p...

Dear our valued customer,

Thank you very much for having chosen our resort to spend your recent stay and for your valued remarks you mentioned on the tripadvisor site.

We are so happy to know that you enjoyed your holiday with us and you were able to experience our warm hospitality.

You are right Luxor is much quieter than Cairo and all of us hope that the current situation will be finalized very soon and tourism comes back to its normal pace.

As for your comment about the half board menu, I would like to inform you that I forwarded your feedback to the Food & Beverage department for further discussion and see the possibility to update it.

All of us are looking forward for your next visit to Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa.

The appearance of the hotel, hospitality of the staff, food and overall experience could not have been better. This was one of the best five star hotels I've been to. We ate in Olive, Sill Road and Diwan and everything we had was fresh and excellent quality. All the waiters were also extremely helpful and friendly and bought us things that weren't on the menu several times. From the cool peppermint fragranced towels we were given when we arrived and came in from days out to the fruit kebabs we were given round the pool, the treatment of the guests there was well beyond our expectations. Every morning there were fresh flowers in the room and on the bed, we were given delicious complimentary cakes on our first day. The staff in general were all so kind and friendly and helped organise three excellent tours with v helpful drivers and tour guides. Furthermore the spaciousness and lay our if the resort meant that you could always have privacy because between four restaurants a Shisha area, a roof terrace, a spa and a lovely pool it was always easy to have your own space. Staying here really made our stay in Luxor!

Egypt can sometimes be rather trying, with the locals hassling you to buy their trinkets, horse rides etc. The Hilton is a wonderfully calm place, lovely gardens where you can walk untroubled, and still a short bus ride to town. Food also excellent.

Well, I was there on a business trip and stayed for like 2 nights and I have to admit from all the Hilton hotels in Egypt there are two unique Hotels, Luxor Hilton and Marsa Alam Hilton...

For Luxor Hilton this is our main issue here the hotel is perfect from every side the views are simply magnificent, the rooms are nice and always clean as if the housekeeper is staying with you in the same room you just leave the room for a few seconds and you return to find it clean and tidy again...

I haven't tried the Spa there actually but I saw it and I have been to the Spa pool and aside from the excellent view you see on the Spa pool, It's so relaxing

Breakfast & dinner in main restaurant "Rosetta" was a great idea the food is so perfect and the taste is delicious

Lunch at the Olives was not so good idea the meal portions are small in comparison with the price but the quality is super

The staff there are nice and smiling all the time, which reflects the true Egyptian sense of hospitality

Bottom line aside from the rate which is considered high, you are going to get an excellent vacation in an excellent hotel in an excellent city full of stuff to do

For sure I will be coming again...

Recommended for Business Travelers, Couples, Solo Travelers.

Room Tip: If the Ships are still there refrain from Section D as it will be a little bit noisy, Section A &am...

The Hilton in Luxor, Egypt is fantastic! I thoroughly enjoyed the spa pool area and the infinity pool itself. The pool had a aluminum (I believe) reclining bench that when you sat down, it looked like you were part of the landscape. The pool steward placed a towel under my head for maximum comfort and I could've fallen asleep there if I had not been afraid of drowning! The room was nicely decorated and the balcony facing the Nile was very relaxing. Service was top-notch and I sincerely appreciated everyone's hospitality!
