“Breathtaking views and informative guides”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2011

We have just returned form weeks stay in Luxor, we pre-booked all our tours before we left the UK and paid on arrival, Aladdin was very helpful in organising the tours and our guide Saladdin was excellent and very informative he was so passionate about the history and made all our tours feel special.
We did Karnak temple, Luxor temple, full day tour of Westbank A & B, Dendera & Abydos, sound & light show Karnak, Edfu & Kom Ombo and two of our group went on to Aswan to Abu Simbel and high dam.
Our driver was excellent, and we were always picked up on time and never felt rushed to get form one site to the next, excellent value for money, cool drinks in mini van added bonus due to the heat.
Thank you for making our holiday.

“Well informed guide and friendly driver”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2011

We used Aladdin's "Luxor Guided Tours" for 3 days in Luxor. Unfortunately, Aladdin was not available and we didn't get to meet him, but the guide we had was very knowledgable and friendly, as was the driver Ahmed.

We booked Classic Tours A and B (from their website), a Balloon Flight and full day to Dendera and Abydos which came to over US$700. We were asked to pay in cash in advance on the day before tour. The tour guide came to our hotel to collect the money. I felt very nervous about handing over that amount of cash, to a virtual stranger and not knowing an office address or any physical contact details for the company. I was very relieved to see the guide return the following day and we had absolutely NO problems with the guide or driver over the entire 3 days and I'm pleased to report that I didn't need to worry about the "up front" payment.

Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple, the Valley of the Kings etc are amazing places and are an absolute must see. I didn't like the city of Luxor - the bazaar salesguys and horse/donkey drivers were aggressive, the streets are dirty and the place looks run down. After 3 days in beautiful Aswan, Luxor was disappointing.

I would have liked to have had a follow up phone call or email from Aladdin to check how we enjoyed our tours with his company and his guides but we didn't hear from him. Nevertheless, I would still recommend the tours as they were very good, on time and reliable.

“Good Value, would use again.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2011

Did the West Bank Tours A & B today. Pedro was our guide and Ahmed was our driver. My wife and myself were picked up at our hotel at 8am as planned. Only the 2 of us were on this tour. Could not fault either Pedro or Ahmed all day. Friendly and never rushed us. One thing not advertised was a visit to an Alabaster factory, which i felt was a waste of time. Yes we bought 2 objects but haggle as we picked them up for 200LE instead of 750LE which was what we were first asked to pay. The Visits to the Tombs and Temples were superb, better then i imagined. Dont forget that Tutankhamen tomb is an extra 100LE per person. As everywhere in the Luxor area you do get hassled, but stay firm and they will leave you alone in the end. Also remember if someone lends you a torch or points something out to you they will expect a tip, This is nothing to do with the tour company, its what happens here, just have a sense of humour and say no thank you. Apart from Valley of the Kings and Temple of Hatchepsut very few tourists, this gave us the chance to get excellent photos. Yes you can do it cheaper, but my advice is dont bother with a large party, this way you can see the sights quicker, which in turn means you see more and learn almost on a 1 to 1 basis. Free lunch was good. Luxor Tours 9/10 (would of been 10/10 if no alabaster tour)
Thanks to Pedro & Ahmed from Clive & Mo
