“Lovely relaxing place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2011

We stayed here for five nights at the beginning of October. It was a lovely relaxing place to stay especially after the mayhem of Cairo. The room was a delight and the view of the walls of medinat habu in the morning were wonderful. We hired bikes which made getting about between the tombs and the east bank a breeze. The food was good though a bit of variety in the breakfast and some fruit would have made it excellent. Sadly we were the only people there for the whole stay so please go there! Highly recommended.

I stayed at Beit Sabee for once, and the excellence of the place and the service was the main reason why Beit Sabee is the only place I refer clients to. As a tour guide in Cairo, most of my clients are high-end and business people, and I always ask for a feedback, and the most comment I get regarding Beit Sabee is "Just perfect!"
I really love and trust these guys work.

I have stayed at Beit Sabee Hotel on 2 separate trips, and don't want to go anywhere else. The rooms are incredibly comfortable, spacious and eloquently designed. The food is outstanding, complete with home-made moussaka, guava jam, and loads of freshly baked Egyptian bread. Aside from the awe-inspiring view of the desert, what makes Beit Sabee unique in my eyes are the interesting people from all over the world you get to trade stories with, whether is be in the salon or during breakfast on the adorable roof. You really get the sense that you are traveling on a great adventure, while having the serenity of a gorgeous little bed and breakfast. If anyone finds themselves in Luxor, I strongly suggest a stay at Beit Sabee. You won't regret it.

Having lived for sometime in Southern Egypt 10 years ago, I was more than eager to go back, and experience the splendors of the West Bank of the Nile once again. For the traveler that wants a magical and special Egyptian experience, away from the other tourists and big hotels, there is no better than Beit Sabee. The West Bank of the Nile, where many of the best tombs and temples are to be found, is the quiet and romantic side of Egypt. Having spent time in both worlds, there is no question that I will only stay at Beit
Sabee from now on.

The food is great, the people are very kind, and yes, it is in the desert, so expect heat and sand, but isn't that why we go?

I highly recommend Beit Sabee and think anyone that values making their visit to Souther Egypt special will be more than happy they stayed here.

Beit Sabee is a charming guest house with several delightfully decorated rooms arranged around a central courtyard. All have private baths and views of the the courtyard or the date palms and fields of the surrounding village. From the roof deck you can see Medinate Habu, the Valley of the Kings and watch the balloons soar overhead at dawn. On the West Bank, adjacent to the superb Medinat Habu temple, it's quiet, atmospheric and far away from the noise and bustle of the East Bank. Breakfasts are delicious. The charming staff can provide other meals as well. If you want quiet, a place to experience the pace of village life and great style, stay at Eeir Sabee

Great hotel for a single traveller since you breakast at one long table with other guests and dinners are also communal. Breakfast on the terrace looking one way at the desert and the other into village life, people working in fields, animals and paddies and palms. And at night a beer round a brazier like ancient times. Delightful hamlet to wander around. Buy fruit from man and cart that comes around in the morning.
Then ideally a cruise with nour el nil. There is no doubt that it is way the top boat with enormous care and energy by the owners who are on board one boat for each cruise. A charming boat that really sails unless wind totaly dies. It is the only boat that really does sail whenever possible. The food is superb and the boat has amazing charm that must have taken a great deal of thought and shopping in bazaars.
