It was brilliant with all the activities that were on offer, swimming pools, tennis, football, giant chess, sand baths and lots more. Our junior suite was huge, fantastic views of the Nile and West Bank, great buffet breakfasts and lovely staff. A peaceful and relaxing retreat . Worth every penny for accommodation but as it is on an island/5 star hotel, food and drink prices are higher than the norm - compared to the East Bank eateries. Highly recommended, we won't forget the service and facilities at this hotel, the best place we stayed in Egypt by far.

The site is absolutely breathtaking, the personnel friendly and helpful in all circumstances, rooms are well equipped with view on the Nile river, the food is tasty and offers a large variety, many different places inside and outside to meet people or just relax quietly, 2 swimming pools, spa and sports.Many interesting archeological sites nearby. Good shopping opportunities. I will certainly return.

We stayed at the resort for 1 week. The location is very nice and we had a comfortable stay while at the resort. The one thing that alarmed us that we were involved in a collision between a resort ferry and another river boat. On further observation we found that for most journeys of the shuttle ferries made during darkness, the ferries did not use their navigation lights even though they were in working order. The ferries commonly take more passengers than the number of life vests. Protracted discussions with hotel management may have slightly changed their attitude. So if you go to this resort and use the ferry at night, sit up the front and if the navigation lights are not in use, insist that the ferry captain use them, and complain to the resort security manager who is responsible for the ferries.

The other thing that surprised us is that the resort offers a 10% discount on your next stay if you provide a favorable review on Trip Advisor. You may like to take this into consideration when reading reviews.

I am really surprised (and a bit annoyed) at travelers who spend ONE night in a hotel and proceed to write unfavorable reviews...as though they had spent two weeks in absolute misery!
My own experience with the Isis Island Resort Hotel and Spa has been nothing but totally satisfactory, since the very first of my annual stays. And the changes that have taken place, especially in the last year, under the new Manager, Achmed Sherif have simply increased my appreciation for this, my favorite venue in Egypt. The staff have been consistently friendly and ready to address any problem. The rooms have been kept meticulously clean. The food plentiful, well prepared and presented, even to 'special requests'....whether in the main Rameses dining room, the A la carte Nefertari, the Italian (full service) restaurant at the Banana Pool (where they have finallly learned to make a great pizza), or the 24 hour Lobby cafe.....recently remodeled and redecortated, making it a perfect spot to relax over tea or a cold Stella beer, and interact with the other guests....many of whom or annual returnees.
Having spent a great part of my life traveling the world, I am not easilly satisfied. Yet the Isis Island resort has managed to fulfill my expectations of what a 'resort' hotel in Egypt needs to be, to attract return visitors. I, and my friends, have used EVERY major hotel in Aswan, including the Old Cataract, the Moven Pickl (former Oberoi) and none have given as much satisfaction, and return for the price, as Isis Island.
I cannot recommend it highly enough.
