“It's not as impressive as it's more famous neighbour.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013 via mobile

As another of the tours on the west bank experience the valley of the queens doesn't quite measure up to the valley of the kings. Although not as big, in fact considerably smaller, the tomb painting is probably more impressive. With only 2 tombs open to visit (the most famous only being opened to celebrities or similar from what I can remember) and it being a somewhat tiring uphill trek in the blazing sun it's an experience to do once, but not to bust a gut over again when you've done it.

“kinda boring”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

If you haven't been before this visit to Karnak or Giza - you may like it much. But up to me there's nothing special to see. Yes, the tombs. Yes, made in rock. But I consider this a bit boring unless you're into history very much.

“Nice to see.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

My husband and I visited here as part of the West Bank Tour in November 2012.
It is not so impressive as the Valley of the Kings, but still nice to see.

“Breath-takingly beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

So few people visit these gems of the ancient world which leaves you in peace and quiet.
Very few are ever open and we were lucky enough to get into the tomb of Amun-her-Knopsef. The vibrancy of the colours are astounding and the intimacy of the images is very moving.
We had chosen our particular tour specifically because it included this visit and we are so pleased that we got here. Do please pick a tour that includes this gem.

“Kings then Queens”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

After the Kings on the sond day it was now the turn of the Queens. Unfortunately there is only time at the Valley of the Queen to see 2 tombs and we chose only to do 1. This tomb however proved to be the best we had seen to date. The carvings were spectacluar and it proved very interesting to learn about the other items found when they searched this tomb. I will not spoil it for anyone visiting this tomb in the futuer but when you see the find you will be surpised at how it has been preserved. You just have to see this.
