“Movenpick Resort Cairo Pyramids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2011

We stayed here for the first two nights of our honeymoon. It was a great base to see the Pyramids but a half hour drive into the centre of Cairo; we hired a guide and driver for a full day's sightseeing so this wasn't too much of a problem. The staff at the hotel were excellent and the food was fine. The roof top cafe has a lovely view of the pyramids. Good hotel for a short stay.

Family of four stayed at this hotel.Rooms were neat and clean although a bit tired but so is the most of Cairo!! Buffet breakfast was good , service acceptable. We were only there for two nights but it was fine for a short stay.Roof top cafe allows for great view of Pyramids,it is outside hotel though so ask the staff how to get there, distance to other parts of Cairo is a problem but with recent protests we felt it was the best option not to stay in CBD.We recommend this hotel for a short stay.

Stayed here in November in between a Nile cruise and Hurghada stay. Was perfectly located for trip to pyramids, only a couple of minutes away by taxi, roof top bar good for relaxing and view of the pyramids, but was hazy/smoggy so restricted, but not the hotels fault!Only downside is that it's way out of the city centre so a bit of a commute to go to Egyptian Museum, but that's only a minor point really. Very clean, modern interior, liked the bungalow/chalet style layout with landscaped gardens, room good. Several eating options inside, bar area nice to relax after the chaos of a day out in Cairo,we got Italian from restaurant by the outdoor pool and was more than happy there, breakfast was buffet style and enough choice to satisfy.A wedding function was on the evening we stayed and it added to the atmosphere, nice to see local events. Would definately stay here again.

My stay here was lovely! I really enjoyed it. The hotel provided a perfect place to relax, which we really needed after all the sightseeing and shopping. The view of the Pyramids from the hotel is beautiful! I really liked the well-kept gardens outside the rooms. Very nice :)
The breakfast buffet had an excellent variety and the staff were very helpful & pleasant and made our stay so much more beautiful.

We stayed at Le Meridien, but we walked down to this hotel to go to the rooftop bar to have a beer at sunset and view the pyramids. Spectacular view! Go up there and enjoy the view, one of the best we found in all of Giza.

They lanscaping and layout of the hotel are beautiful and elegant.

Stayed here before and I think it's an excellent hotel. Well out of the main parts of Cairo and right beside the Pyramids which you can just see. Staff were all excellent and the rooms are very international but everything works. Breakfast in the Orangerie is a buffet but an excellent range but, as before, I found the Orangerie a bit disappointing for dinner. The pizzeria by the pool is much better and more fun if that makes any sense. I'm told that the Thai restaurant at reception is also excellent.

The hotel is situated not too far from the Pyramids and about half an hour from the centre of Cairo.
The standard rooms are all on the ground floor surrounded by gardens. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds, plenty of hanging space plus there is a small dining table and 2 chairs, handy for eating a snack or having a drink. A tea/coffee machine wouldn't go amiss though.
The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean, the bathroom was a decent size with bath/shower.
Didn't have time to use the pool, which looked inviting.
The main dining room the Orangerie was large and felt very impersonal, The buffet was adequate but nothing special and quite pricey. The Thai restaurant was excellent with a very good choice of meals at reasonable prices.
