“Not to be missed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

I managed to go inside three pyramids here in one day. I started with Teti then the Red pyramid followed by the Bent pyramid and then I visited the Step pyramid.
It was hard work doing three in one day, but well worth it. In fact it was a very memorable day and one I will never forget!

“Indiana Jones type of experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

The Red Pyramid at Dahsur is an amazing experience. You get to go inside the deep passageway down and explore the inside probably on your own since it is not as heavily visited as the Great Pyramid. Being inside feels like you are Indiana Jones looking for a great treasure lol

“Interesting and isolated”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

If you want to get away from the sellers and camel drivers, go out to the Pyramid field at Dashour. The two main pyramids here are the Red Pyramid and Bent Pyramid, both built by Snefru. You can only enter the Red Pyramid currently, but it is worth it if you are in shape. The air is full of ammonia from bats inside, but the structure is unique. Be prepared for high temperatures and if you have any lung issues, stay out. But otherwise it is definitely worth visiting even just the outside of these pyramids.
