Myself and my fiance had called ahead to the concierge at the hotel and had a meet and assist set up so that when we landed in Cairo we were greeted in the airport by a man named Ahmed, he took our passports and the money for the visa and completed the process for us so we just had to meet him on the other side of customs and not have to deal with any of the paperwork. He also picked up our bags at the carousel and we did not have to touch a thing. We were then taken to the hotel in a gorgeous Benz and greeted by the awaiting staff.

Our room was on the 15th floor with an amazing veiw of the nile which is esspecially gorgeous at night when the boats that the employees told us are called flookas are lit up.

My fiance and I, who are both very athletic my fiance being a fitness instructor, spent our mornings at the gym facilities which is bigger then any hotel gym ive ever seen including the seperate studio where i did yoga and pilates alone and also took in a very energized arobics class.

We set up a tour of the pyramids with Ahmed at the concierge desk who is a very happy and helpful young man, it started fairly early, but avoided most of the heat and had a very personable tourguide that was very knowledgeable on the area, probably the highlight of our time in Egypt!

We had our romantic anniversary dinner of the day we met at the Sygon restraunt with beautiful asian cuisine, i must say it had some of the nicest decor i have ever seen including an expensive purple crystal chandelier!

Overall our stay at the Fairmont was one of the most amazing vacation experiences we have ever had and have reccomended it to everyone of our friends and even persuaded some fellow candians that we met in the downstairs mall to switch hotels and we saw them in the morning and they couldnt have been happier they had. We will continue to reccommend this hotel to everyone we meet!

Room Tip: All floors have beautiful veiws of the nile and couldnt be more beautiful

When I first came to the Fairmont Nile City I felt warmly welcomed by the staff and overall atmosphere of the beautiful hotel. Every single detail is outstanding, from the decor of the lobby to the carefully selected unique decor in the restaurants. This hotel is truly the most spectacular I have stayed at and I am always grealy impressed by the Fairmont chain, worldwide. The Nappa grill is outstanding with American cuisine, we enjoyed the service and food. Also the sky pool and roof top lounge has delicious shisha while overlooking the bright lights of the city. The Alabaster Sushi Bar is truly unique, the sushi is prepared right in front of you. Last but not least, the spa was 100% worth while, it even has a large fitness center with everything you could need. I will recommend this hotel to anyone I come across, not only the Fairmont Nile City in Cairo but any Fairmont worldwide because of the outstanding kindness and warmth from the staff. It is truly company wide throughout all locations and every staff member.

Room Tip: If possible stay in a Fairmont Gold room facing the Nile!

Me and my wife spent 1 night in this gorgeous hotel, we had a nile suite on B.B bases.
We were treated as Fairmont gold guest, which means we checked in fro the gold lounge, having acces to the gold lounge with all its facilities and buffets and drinks.
Pool is so refreshing, clean and having a great view.
Suite was Super, very luxurius and modern with all u can think of.
The each single member of staff is very well trained for elite service, waiters, bell men, fairmont gold staff ...etc.
We had great time and we can't wait to repeat this exclusive experience.
Would like to thank Fairmont gold team member Mostafa Mahmoud and head waiter Mahmoud abd el Satar.

Room Tip: Nile view off course ...... Very important

Just back from a five day stay at the Fairmont Nile City. The hotel is a beautiful haven in the midst of the pure chaos called Cairo. Check-in was great and even though we arrived just after 11am our rooms were allocated immediately. If you are taking a taxi from the airport ask for the Nile Towers as the drivers still don't know it as Fairmont Hotel. Luckily we had the hotel telephone number with us so the driver called and spoke to the concierge for directions...
Our room was a Nile View room on the 11th floor so we had the most amazing view over the Nile. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated and the beds were amazingly comfortable. Our only complaint was room service didn't vacuum the room for the five days we were there. The same nuts were on the floor every day we returned.
Breakfast buffet was ample however the service was very slow and requests for tea were quickly forgotten - this was when the restaurant was practically empty so we can't imagine what it must be like at peak times.
On the roof is a pool and coffee shop and we enjoyed sitting up there away from the hustle and bustle but with all the views!
We would definitely stay here again and willingly recommend this hotel to others.

Room Tip: Book a Nile view room for the best views in Cairo

It is one of the most beautiful hotels I prefer to go and stay. Not only staying, but also working with in business venues. All staff members starting from the arrival gate to any corporate staff members are cheerful and highly helpful. You feel home immediately when you arrive there. I had a marvellous experience working with the Fairmont banquet and corporate team members in preparation of our GALA Dinner. What a success due to the easygoing spirit and professional experience under the leadership of the General Manager who made our Event a great success. I do recommend this hotel for also the room standards, ceanliness, spacious, lots of amenities and more.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the Nile are magnificent and spacious.

My colleague and I stayed here while on business in Cairo for 3 days. The hotel does what it sets out to do, which is to cater mainly for the business traveller.

Check-in was a bit slow and painful, but the staff are perfectly friendly. The room had a view of the Nile and was a good size - not lots of room to do pilates floor exercises, which I try to do while away, but was still ample space for a City hotel. The bathroom was lovely; all marble and chrome, with boiling hot water from the rain shower. As a previous reviewer says, there is no free wifi in the room, which is a bit cheeky, given the cost of the hotel and the Fairmont brand more generally.

The bed was large and very comfortable - the bedding was more than silky and luxurious enough to outweigh the slightly too-soft mattress. I really had trouble getting up each morning.

I didn't have breakfast (see above comment!) but my colleague did and said it was good and plentiful. He was also a fan of the rooftop pool and on one clear day could see the distant pyramids.

For me the best thing about this hotel was the gym. It has great fitness facilities. Loads of treadmills all facing out over Cairo, and a separate weights room with a dozen machines and some free weights. There are two staff in the gym and I saw them being attentive and helpful to a couple of people while I was there.

Would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Definitely one overlooking the Nile on a high floor - a no-brainer.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights earlier this month on business. The hotel is conveniently located next to the Nile City Towers (offices) and is also adjacent to a small mall which has a few local eateries, high street shops and a Starbucks.

The room was spacious and modern and had all the facilities and amenities you need for a comfortable (business stay), including a desk, coffee and tea making facilities and complimentary water.

There is no free wifi at the hotel for regular guests which is a pity, you need to be a member of the Fairmont loyalty club. I paid about USD15 for an hour of wifi.

Room service was efficient and the menu also includes Fairmont's lifestyle menu items which is a nice touch.

Breakfast was in the Californian restaurant which has a good selection of food and a nice atmosphere with view over the Nile.
