“6th October Bridge”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2012

Traffic on the 6th October bridge was always congested. The streets were very noisy with drivers honking at each other etc. However, it is definitely an interesting place to visit as it reflects a lot on the Egyptian's life. Stalls are set up on the side of the street so that drivers can stop by to buy food. There are no real lanes and the divider in the middle that splits up the two way traffic is often disregarded.

It is also the route I take to get to work everyday when I was volunteering in Egypt for 2 months and thus I feel a sense of connection to it.

“Crowded City Conjunction”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2012

It joins most of Cairo together trying to make shortcuts to places, yet it's crowded. A shortcut in which you spend a lot of time to reach your destination.

“Yes it's just a bridge, but its over the Nile...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2012

Sunset and in the evening it's a nice place to watch the water and the world go buy. There is people selling things, lovers chatting and you can see the river boats with music and fun going around the nile. If you like to live in the slow lane and enjoy what the locals like, stop here and enjoy!

“Not a place to visit”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2012

I wonder how come this is an attraction. It is a long bridge (around 13 kms) that most people drive on daily to go to work. There is a portion that passes over the Nile. Many people stand up there watching the Nile. Nice view at night. However, I don't rate it as an attraction.

“Bridge over the Nile.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2012

What can you say about a bridge? The traffic is busy, impatient and noisy and not to be tackled during rush hour!!!
