“Amazing hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012 via mobile

I was looking for chirp hotel, after arrived to Cairo. Actually i asked some hotel. Then i found this hotel. Its very chirp and clean. Also good service. I stayed other hotel first night. But it was duty and no internet. This hotel is same place and included breakfast and internet. There is common room too with big TV. This location is center of Cairo. Its very convenient. Easy to buy everything. I didn't have a guide book. But they gave to me some information about sightseeing. If I come back to Cairo, I'd like to stay the cairo paradise hotel.

I strongly recommend this hotel. I've spent 5 nights here. The rooms are huge, comfortable, well kept and very clean...The staff in the hotel is extremely nice and helpful..also the area is convenient for it offers lots of shopping opportunities and restaurant within walking distance...The staff will help you arrange trips of your liking and also offer you an advice on how to reach certain places by yourself..Overall I strongly recommend.

My husband and I had booked this hotel for a few nights based on the reviews on here and hostelbookers. Where we have no doubt the reviewers on here were happy with what they got, unfortunately we did not receive the same treatment. We had a 'superior' double room with private bathroom booked, like the rooms shown, we arrived at about 9.30pm and shown to our room which was not a room which had been shown on ANY of the websites, it was dirty, it was unfortunately smelly, and it also had a hole in the window, there was a double bed and another bed slightly bigger than a single in the room, and so was NOT a 'double' and was most DEFINITELY by no ones stretch of the imagination superior, when we expressed our dissatisfaction we were told by the guy on reception this was the last room, he had allocated all other rooms in the hotel. I immediately asked for our money back, as a room smelling of urine was most certainly not what I expected after a long day travelling. Just a note a private bathroom is a room that isn't separate (as in an ensuite) but in the same room as your bedroom, but just with two partition walls separating it, hence the smell, the toilet in the room they offered us had obviously not been cleaned.

After I asked for the money back, the man at reception asked 'Can I speak to your husband', so I said no you can speak to me, he huffed, and went on the phone, next thing another man came out who at least tried to help, unfortunately the damage had been done, they ended up moving us to a room for one night, miraculously, as we'd been told previously all the other rooms weren't available, this wasn't again a double, it had three single beds had a clean bathroom, there was unfortunately four flies and a few mossies in the room when we entered, and I do have to say the beds were like sleeping on a board, I could feel my hip coming through my skin. I do feel like a complete moaner, but have stayed in other hotels in Cairo and been far more impressed. One other point the air conditioning unit in the second room we went into was also extremely extremely loud, like a motor engine. I would have liked to give this a better rating, just for the efficiency of the second man on reception we spoke with, but in all honesty couldn't, it was in fact a terrible experience.

One tip, the second man was at pains to say they hadn't lied and that this other room was a superior double, but when called on why the room didn't appear on any website, or why it had a broken window, more than one bed and smelled, he couldn't answer, but he did say he could understand our disappointment especially as we thought we were getting a room advertised, but said that on booking we should have stated that we would like the 'purple room' so for anyone who still wishes to use this hostel, my advice would be request the 'purple room' so you too can avoid any disappointment.

Room Tip: If you see a room you specifically like, make sure you request that room ie, the purple room, or the...

first of all...overall its a good place........positives are,
- its in downtown cairo....lots of shops adjacent to it....so a very good place to live in if u want shopping etc.
- rooms are good...neat n clean....with good interior...
- staff is very kind......
- staff can arrange some very good tour packages for you......
- sights like river nile, khan e khalili bazar, egyptian museum are not far....taxi will take around 10 egyptian pound and can take you...

and some points to improve...

- its a bit difficult to locate this hotel as its a bit old building...
- washroom was good but shower can be improved..
- its a very busy and noisy area.
- its on sixth floor of the building and you have to use an open lift which at first you dont recognize is there...

but overall if you are on a budget...this hotel is a very good option...

Room Tip: rooms far away from the road are quiter....
