Right at the banks fo the nile you can either sit inside or outside (it can get cold due to the wind) under palm trees and have a wondeful view over the nile and watch the evening come to Cairo. It is in the middle of the city but very quite (the only real noise coming form sun of the night party cruises on the nile) and since it is part of the Sofitels no crowds milling around.
Very tasty, spices in just the riight amount, freshly prepared. A not too extensive menu (always a good sign), a nice set of appetizers (if you take warm and cold you might be stuffed already) a good wine list with some very good egyptian wines, great portions and meat that was so tender, no knife was needed. All in all a perfect experience. The price was also very reasonably (considering the surrounding).
Very friendly, professionell, unobtrusive but fast (a seldom combination especially in Egypt) and very eager to give good advice on the menu.
All in all out of out three nights in Cairo we ate there twice just because it was so good.
