“It is just WOOOW!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2012

Hotel it self is absolutely amazing. Five star facilities (amazing roof-top pool with great views over the Nile and great snacks, fabulous rooms, great on site restaurants). But all this comes with the SIX star service. I landed up being sick and the staff (every single one of them from the cleaning lady to the top managers) moved the mountains to make me feel comfortable and at home. We stayed for a week there, as no matter how chaotic Cairo is as a busy city (even more so in the middle of the second round of the revolution), it always was a pleasure coming back to Hotel Kempinski. My husband forgot his shirt in the room after we left for the cruise down the Nile and they even went out of their way to leave it at the airport for us to pick it up on our return from Aswan, before out flight back home. It is the most unbelievable service ever in the most stunning hotel.

Room Tip: There was a special where you pay for a regular double but get a junior suite instead.

The Kempinski Nile Hotel in Cairo deserves to include membership of 'the leading hotels of the world' in its title. From the moment you enter the doors of this beautiful boutique hotel you are made to feel welcome and comfortable and ensured a truly first class experience.

Starting from the airport: the transfer organised by the hotel includes a very helpful agent who sees you swiftly through the visa/immigration process, (N.b.bring $15 for visas), then speeds you through customs and safely into the waiting car. The drive from the airport is approx 40mins depending on time of day.

From the cool marble interior of the hotel lobby, up the elevators and to the rooms, everywhere is sparkling clean. Delightful original artwork adorn the walls and pastel hued carpets line the corridors. Once in your room the personal butler quickly arrives bearing juice and efficiently unpacks, great treat! He can also be relied on to make reservations for you, provide tea/coffee, wake up calls, shoe cleaning service and general good advice on Cairo/Hotel services, ... when I inadvertently thought I had blown the bedside lightbulb the butler sent a technician within minutes ... Rooms are beautifully appointed with a wonderful comfy bed and crisp high quality bed linen. Flat screen tv with over 100 Movies Free *!!OtherChains take note!! * The Kempinski Nile provides Free in room Wifi, Free coffee/tea & soft drinks + a genuinely efficient butler service with a friendly helpful attitude. This is how travel should be!

Location is ideal for sightseeing or business, not far from Tahir square and overlooking the Nile, the Kempinski is a haven of calm in the chaos of honking traffic and street vendors that clog the arterial roads of Cairo.

The restaurants can boast a world class experience from the beautiful interior of The Blue, overlooking the Nile with its European menu that's expertly prepared, and where every meal is accompanied with a loaf of the most delicious freshly baked bread, to the next door restaurant The Osmanly offering fabulous Arabic cuisine and the most exquisite tender marinated lamb, assorted tasty mezzes and all served on fine china by unobtrusive waiters. The Jazz Bar on floor 10 manages to be both tasteful and soothing with a clubby interior subtly lit and furnished with sink-into comfortable arm chairs and sofas, on Valentines there was a small jazz band playing to a well heeled crowd of predominantly young professional Egyptians. You get the impression this is quite an exclusive enclave, a well kept secret, and the private dining rooms just opposite add to the mystic and confirm the 5star experience with a scattering of beautifully set tables spaced far apart, its extremely chic, thick pile carpet, inspired artwork and discrete lighting enhance the experience, no doubt created for long leisurely dinners with a loved one. There is also a long balcony with a perfect view over the Nile.

All in all Kempinski Nile Hotel is a great success, they've paid careful attention to detail, every employee genuinely aims to please and it shows and works well, you leave feeling refreshed, relaxed and all the better for the experience. At the time I travelled there was a special on with rates @$187 + tax, this is a terrific price for a service you could expect to pay $500 pn elsewhere with less efficient service. I will definitely stay here again and hope to see The Kempinski Nile rated #1 on Trip, they deserve the accolade, which is not something I often say and this is something like my 50th review for Tripadvisor.

Room Tip: Ask for a Nile view

I visited the Hotel last December and I can't say nothing but perfection. The hotel is beautiful and the location is excellent. The staff is well trained and so lovable. Osmanly Restaurant has best food in Cairo and Brunch in Floor 10 was a great experience with the most breathtaking views over the Nile. Love this Hotel! Looking forward to come back soon!

Room Tip: Nile Views! The views will make your day!

This hotel is amazing. We only stayed one night but would have loved to stay for longer. The staff were all very helpful, especially the butlers, who showed us how everything in the room worked, bought coffee straight away, and breakfast to our room. The beds are the most amazing beds ever - so comfortable and really didn't want to get up in the morning!! Would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Had a short personal trip over the weekend with my lil son, with their current offer, I booked a junior suite nile view, the offer by itself is amazing, the room is superb.

I consider my self an expert in Cairo hotels, so I will give ya the great and the need attention.

Great:
- hotel is of small size which gives it a quite feeling and cozy atmposhpere, big time plus if you want a peace of mind
- on demand video, one of the best I have seen, my son had a blast
- butler service, friendly, and encourages you to just kickback and enjoy your room
- bed quality is the best and I am demanding for top quality.

Need attention:
- Bathroom, Either construction finish was not top notch, or maintenance was not keeping it up to the desired levels.
- roomservice menu needs a revisit, especially for local favorites
- had to follow up on couple of things 2-3 times with the butler, although the hotel was literally empty.
- entrance is not a welcoming point gives you a narrow feeling, I a sure another entrance option may change that.

In summary, if you are in for trip where you require a great hotel to spend some time at your room and get serviced, this is the best.

I would put it at par with the other hotel owned by the same group that owns this hotel ( see my other review)

Room Tip: If you are going to suite up, room 9107 sounds like a good option

I can honestly say the best hotel I ever stayed in. We were in Egypt for a holiday and were very hesitant due to the turbulence that was going on at the time, but the security was great and my whole family was taken great care of as though we were there own. The best thing about this hotel is the people. The staff is just absolutely amazing, there's this feeling that everyone in the hotel is just from one big family. From the cleaners all the way up, there's a refreshing cheerfulness about them that doesn’t ring false like other hotels whose staff is being nice only because it's their job, these guys are actually sincere. If you're going to Egypt and feel you need security I definitely recommend Kempinski. The view on the Nile is great and the hotel itself is cozy , warm and elegant. Gives you an escape from hectic life and kinda makes u feel like you're home in a way. Enjoy!

This centrally located hotel is one of the newest in Cairo, it has a great uninterrupted view of river nile and close to egyptian museum and tahrir square.
rooms are very elegantly designed and furnished yet not too big, beds are extremely comfortable and pillow menu is available. some rooms have a medium sized balcony which is necessary for such location.
service is extraordinary, fast, efficient and professional. our stay had an inclusive breakfast buffet that despite the small display area it was a real 5 star breakfast.
the only area in the hotel that needs some rennovation is the front desk and reception, it's very basic and misses the elegant touch felt everywhere else in the hotel

Room Tip: select a high floor room with nile view and balcony
