“Definitely No. 1 Hotel in Cairo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2011

I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and i highly recommend this to anyone who is planning to visit Cairo. My room is sparkling clean and the view of Nile is breathtaking. You will enjoy sunset with Nile in front of you just at your own balcony!

I particularly enjoyed the in room cinema. Definitely the best selection of entertainment that i ever experience in a 5 stars hotel. If you are a movie buff, you will enjoy watching your fav movies over and over again. Wifi is excellent!

Room service is excellent! My butler Hassan is very professional and I could not ask for more. Some might find the breakfast spread is limited but for me I think it is a wise choice for the hotel to serve "just nice" amount of food. You know how much people can eat and most of the food will eventually wasted. The quality of the food is excellent and dont forget to try their in house yogurt and smoothies. Delicious!

For my activities, i hired a rental car from the hotel with a reasonable price. I was very satisfied with the service that they have rendered especially the driver that they assigned to me; Sameh who is not only served as a driver but a tourist guide and a bodyguard! His knowledge about Cairo and the historical places is very good. I highly recommend any of you to take this service rather than taking the normal taxi.

Location wise, if you want to have a nice view of Nile, this is perfect. But other than that, that's it. They are no restaurants or shops that are walking distance from the hotel. Nothing to do with the Hotel though, they can always arrange it for you. But in case you want to explore Cairo at night by walking, the location might not be the best for you. For this particular purpose, you might want to consider Zamalek area.

Overall, i was very satisfied with the Hotel. A bit pricey but ii dont mind paying as long as they are worth it.

Room Tip: Get the highest level as possible facing the Nile

I stayed there for one night in early November 2011. The hotel staff are all very professional and helpful. You get bottle water and daily newspaper complimentary.

The pool overlooks city of Cairo and you can have a good look at the city. The morning breakfast is simply amazing.

I booked my hotel through a travel agency which might have made it more economical.

The bedding in rooms are simply divine. I did not wake up for 2 seconds as it was so comfy! If you have a back problem, you will be happy with the visco mattress!

We have stayed 3 nights at the Kempinski Cairo mostly because of its central location in Cairo and its strong online reputation. By making the booking through their website, we have found great value as we took advantage of their special offering a large 2 bedrooms suite at the price of a standard room and also, we have benefited from 30pct discount on the rate because we were booking 3 nights! It was also good to enjoy free internet, minibar and payTV during our stay. Usually, hotels are charging these services but not at the Kempinski which was great!
The hotel looks European from the inside, luxurious, cosy and the staff is really looking to make your stay enjoyable. We had a butler that was arranging our tours in the city and our other requests such room service and laundry.. This was really nice. The movies available on TV were the last ones available in Europe so we saved obviously some money when watching them at the hotel as we will not have to buy them anymore.
We have managed to get the private room at the spa for a couple of hours and have enjoyed our own sauna, jacuzzy and steambath: we really felt pamperred and massages were well done.
The food quality is simply the best of what we have tasted in Cairo. The Turkish restaurant is very orginal but also, the other restaurant called "Blue" is serving amazing food too.
We had the pleasure to enjoy one evening at the jazz bar on wednesday night were the live performer - a lady - made a incredible performance. It is the first time that we really have enjoyed a live show of such quality in a hotel! I highly recommend to ask the hotel staff on which day this artist is performing in order to not miss her.
If we would decide to go back to Cairo, we will not think twice and we will book this hotel with the wish that they will have maintained such high level of standards.

Room Tip: Check their website as they are offering large suites for the price of standard rooms with discounts...

We spend 5 night at Kempinski for a citytrip.

Besides a small insident on arrival, i can't fault anything about F&B, service, staff, my room.
Concierge is a real credit to the hotel when you plan doing tours. They settle everything for you in the best way.

Nevertheless, we missed a warm, cosy sphere in the hotel.
The restaurants were empty, ice cold, no nice lightening, as well the lobby and lobbybar.
In the afternoon a chello player made some nice music in the lobbybar, but in the evening it was a dead and boring place and you had to go to "lever 10" for some sphere.

We only ate once in the hotel, becaus of this poor atmosphere.
I'm aware tourism hasn't come back for 100% and hotels arn't full, but we went
3 evening for diner in other hotels and the sphere was totaly different., warm, cosy, nice chilling music,Etc... They made a big effort to make it tempting for diner.

I would recoment this hotel for businesstrips or maybe for older couples.
I don't just care about food and service, but running a hotel meens hospitality and giving people a good warm feeling during their stay.

Great staff, nice room, although a bit on the small size (Nile Deluxe Room) Wonderful view onto the Nile, but careful, it is very noisy and there is a mosque right across the road. Get a room on the higher floors to fully enjoy the view. Breakfast and Friday Brunch are very good and modest in price. Butler service is great, mini bar content could be better, just a choice of four different soft drinks. Transportation service by the hotel is convenient and affordable. Leaders Club benefits only recognized when asked for it. Staff didn't know the Kempinski Kids Service, although it is mentioned on their booking website. Wireless Internet was fast. Room service was great. Yes, we would stay at the Kempinski Nile Hotel again.

Room Tip: high floor facing the Nile

We stayed for 10 days at Kempinski Nile Hotel in Cairo.

The hotel is situation perfectly in Cairo, nearby the Nile River.

The Butler services was great, we could order teas and coffee as we wish. Hotel staff were friendly and spoke good English.

The only slight let down was the restaurants inside the hotel. They could have been better. You probably need to venture out for dinner. However my wife and I are foodies so we nitpick the slightest details.

Overall: 4.5/5
