“Beautiful Hotel and good location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2011

The Hotel was from check in to check out just stunning. From the outside it does not show how beautiful it is.
Our room was spacious and what we hoped for. The staff is extremely friendly and the butler services a delight!
We had dinner in room as well as at the Osmanly Restaurant. Both very nice! The Jazz Bar offers a beautiful view over the Nile.
The Hotel and room was absolutely spotlessly clean at all times.
Rates may seem a bit higher than other Hotels, but therefore cold drinks from the Mini Bar and freshly brewed coffee were included which is an advantage when comparing it to other Hotels that charge LE20.00 for a cold drink when getting it outside for LE2.50
Wine was extremely expensive. We paid app. LE90.00 for a glass of Chardonnay whereby the bottle same wine cost LE200.00 at the Old Winter Palace in Luxor for example.
We can only highly recommend this Hotel and would stay here again.

Best business hotel I know in Cairo. Great personal service. Staff was friendly and service in all areas was the best service we've ever had in Cairo. They were able to fulfill all our requests quickly at any time. The room was really comfortable, very luxurious and the hotel is spotless clean.
We plan to return here when we come back to Cairo

5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2011

I stayed at the Nile Kempinski in Cairo for 6 nights in May 2011. I am fortunate to have stayed in many fantastic hotels around the world and i can say positively that the Nile Kempinski hotel is one of the best I have been to.

For a start, the staff were fantastic, always seeking to please, helpful, attentive and genuinely friendly (as opposed to the put on false smiles in many hotels throughout the region).

After being met off the plane (directly off the plane) and taken directly through immigration ( no queuing or speaking to immigration, as the kepinski staff took care of this) we were transferred to the hotel in a top of the range BMW 7 series.
As we arrived the hotel staff already greeted us by our names and took us directly to our room (check in was done in the room). The service was impressive.

Our room was comfortable and well equipped, and i fell in love with the comfy bed and duck feather pillows (which i was able to buy from the hotel). I note people complaining about the room size, but the room didnt feel small or cramped. The amenities and toiletries were high quality and the complimentary mini bar and free internet was a nice gesture (why dont all hotels do this?, it make the guest feel valued and special, even if it is built into the price!)
The only negative point was that there is no separate shower , but this is a minor issue as the shower inside the bath is high quality and the bath tub is huge.

The breakfast had a good selection of arabic mezze, cheese, fresh yogurt, bakery (best almond croissant i ever had) and, smoked salmon, crepes, waffles, salads and egg station. The staff again were very friendly and accommodating providing 5 star service of the highest quality.

We checked out after 6 days to go to the Mena house Oberoi in Giza (overlooking the Pyramids. We had initially booked to stay at the Oberoi for two nights, however despite the palatial building we were very dissapointed (separate review on trip adviser) and checked out after a single night. One phone call was all it took to book another night at the kempinski and we were soon invited and welcomed back by the staff.

Thanks again to all the staff at the Kempinski for a fantastic time.

Pros - Friendly, helpful and attentive staff staff, luxurious bed and pillows, good location, complimentary minibar and internet.

cons - expensive food (although i should say that the ingredients are all imported from overseas to ensure quality)

We stayed at the relatively new hotel which is very near to the centre (Tahrir Sq, the museum etc) at the end of our stay in Eygypt. It was a very significant family trip - husband's birthday and special birthday for my sister in law. It was a great hotel to finish up in as no other hotel could match it in certain aspects. We had a butler (if you are used to this sort of thing you wont be impressed but we found it novel!)

We didnt need to call on him much although he did sort out a (surprise) birthday cake for my husband and also offered to sort out BM5 or BM7 transport to the airport for around £80, In fact we took a taxi we started to recognise the drivers as they wait around the corner = and paid £8 but it was a good offer if you felt like luxury.

We only ate breakfast there once and it was lovely but you get rather a lot so we had a croissant at the Poire nearby on the other days.

There is also a good Lebanese restuarant the Tabouleh. Dont be disconcerted by the guards everywhere - they are very young and good natured.

The hotel is in an Embassy area (hence the guards) actually near the British and USA embassy so it is a smart area - but the roads and pavements are still really broken up so dont take your high heels.

The rooftop pool is a lovely place to start the day or to swim before sunset when it closes - Amr was very helpful and recognised us from a trip to the Red Sea!

The staff are really helpful - they ask if they can assist you at every turn. I would suggest you get them to assist you to get meter cabs in Cairo as that can be a bit stressful.

The business centre had the best wi fi of any hotel I had stayed in and not just in Cairo you get straight on a pc and are on the internet at once which is great if you need as we always do - to check in on line for return flights.

Finally the laundry. My sister in law had some dresses cleaned - they were returned in tissue and ribbon in a suede box! I have never seen laundry or even presents so beautifully presented.

My only niggle when we arrived we had to wait about an hour for our rooms. (we were given free drinks in the Chocolate Louge while we waited) Now this is surprising that the rooms werent ready as it was about 1515 rather than the morning. And thougth the rooms were beautiful despite all the extra prep time i found a cigarette butt under the edge of the bed. Small niggle though as hotel beautiful and staff charming.

What a lovely hotel, such a cozy and charming place!!!!!
I stayed for 2 nights and whoever stayed in Cairo knows the value of silence after a busy day in the vibrant city. I found my oasis at Kempinski Nile Hotel. It is a brand new hotel, perfectly located with a stunning Nile View. I felt like in fairytale :) with my personal battler, an amazing chocolate lounge at the lobby (homemade chocolate!), delicious coffee prepared specially for me in the morning while enjoying the Nile view from my balcony. Luxury, simplicity, style – that’s what I been looking for in Cairo. Highly recommended!!!
