Please take this review with a grain of salt. I had a horrible time in Cairo, so I am not sure how objective my review of this hostel will be, but I will try. When I arrived, there were no rooms available so I had to wait, which wasn't a problem since I was early, but all the bathrooms are in the rooms, and the one public bathroom, that the employees use, I presume, was not that clean. I ended up going on one of the private tours offered by the owner of the hostel, which was a disaster, though it was not the fault of the owner. The hostel is located in a central area that looks like you can get everything you need. Other than one food and ATM run, I didn't do much else in that neighborhood so I can't really comment on that much. I booked a dorm room, and the room itself was fine and bathroom clean. The common area when I first arrived had bottles and cigarette butts all over the place. The place needs a better system for fighting mosquitoes than the electric zappers that they have because the sound of bugs frying is annoying and it is not effective because they keep the doors to the terrace open and the zapper is on the other side of the room, so mosquitoes are everywhere. I got bit up in the two days I was there. Free breakfast is simple and average. Staff was friendly. I can't say if I would go back because I doubt I would ever go back to Egypt.

Alexander Hotel is one of the best hotels in Egypte Cairo, i really like it and i felt safe, confortable as its so clean and friendly :)
Alexander Hotel is in the middle of the city,near to everything u want to go.
the service is great, free breakfasts and free internet.
Clean and confortable, and there are nice guys working here and they can serve u in everything u think about.
Well i suggest to book in this hotel coz its what are u guys looking for ;)

the hotel was clean and the staff was helpful,the room with private bathroom and satellite TV and with very good price, the only thing was the elevator which I think was old, the hotel is on a busy street and you can pop out and in to buy anything you want from morning until night . on the street.
