I have stayed in various Ibis hotels and by far Ibis Myeongdong is the best. The staff are extremely helpful. The hotel location is also perfect ! Giving access to loads of food, shopping, etc. Not to miss ...Nantha Theatre !! About 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

The location of this hotel is really convenient. The airport bus drops you directly outside the hotel and myeong-dong, an area crammed full of boutiques, eateries, cosmetics store and more cosmetics store is just round the corner. If duty free shopping is your thing, the huge lotte department store across the road will be more than sufficient to satisfy your shopping needs. The nearest undergound train station is also mere minutes walk away. Room wise this is your average business hotel, on the small side, but it was clean and served our needs well enough. Elevators are on the slow side, and there are only 2 elevators serving the entire buidling, so at times it can be quite a wait. If you're into massages, there is a rather cheap massage joint at the basement of the hotel, although it gets pretty crowded at night. We also appreciated the complimentary wifi in the room, and the swift service at reception on check-in and check-out.

Third stay here. I like it because they have everything you need, and details are taken care of. Even little things like how to make a room to room call (so many hotels don't clearly explain this) are explained clearly so you don't need to always be calling the front desk, that's helpful when you're straight off a long haul flight. There's free wireless in the room, and they also provide a free cellphone in your room, you only pay for calls. The rooms aren't huge but they are well laid out and the beds are large and comfortable. The staff are friendly and willing to help. The spa is very relaxing, the bar has a nice view and the restaurant was good value. The aiport bus stops right outside and the subway station is a one minute walk. Myeong-dong is a fun area to stay in too, with plenty of places to eat. I recommend the street with cheap and fun fried chicken joints that have tables out on the street - go out the back of the hotel, turn left and then first right and you're there.

This hotel is a mid range in price and amenities. It serves its purpose adequately with a comfortable bed in clean surroundings. There is no concierge to support traveler information needs on the city and its outlying areas. But, the location is central and safe. It is situated next to high traffic shops and malls. There are an abundance of nearby restaurants and the subway is near the hotel entrance. entrance. The airport express bus stop and pick up is steps away also. If I ever return to Seoul, I would probably stay again.
