“abysmal food!!! Avoid.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

went there for a 'treat' with friends. I had always heard people raving about butterfingers so was excited to try it. Big disappointment. The food was disgusting slop of the highest order. I ordered the eggs benedict. I chose poached eggs over fried.... got fried eggs, luke warm fried eggs with a disgusting greasy coat on them, mushrooms-cold, muffin-stale, bacon-what bacon!!?? hollandaise sauce- don't even get me started on that; gloopy, lumpy, flavorless, cold slop smothered all over a terrible attempt at a simple dish. The 'salad' I got with it consisted of about 5 freezing cold under-ripe tomatoes quartered and sandwiched in between four giant cabbage leaves which were bitter to the taste.... so yea the main tasting points in the meal were cold and bitter.... money down the toilet, thanks butterfingers, what a disappointing meal. The two other people I ate with had pancakes... again a similar complaint of cold, tasteless 'matter' floating about their plate, they did say the pancakes were good, just all the other 'food' that accompanied said pancakes were not good.

If you want good eggs benedict go to T.G's brunch cafe in HBC / Kyungnidan best in town and half the price.

Butterfingers, pick up your game!!

“Great brunch/Too many choices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

Butterfingers is a guilty delight. Waffles, pancakes, sandwiches, smoothies, etc etc etc. It is often dizzying to look at their extensive menu. But, the food is great and the portions decent but the prices are too high. 20,000 won for a salad that consists mostly of lettuce!

“Way overpriced, but big portion sizes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013

This restaurant is located in the center of Gangnam, so one should expect high prices, just not this high. An omelette with potatoes and two pancakes costs around 17,000 KRW (around $15.30 USD at the time of this writing).

That said, a dish like the omelette with potatoes and pancakes is large enough to feed two people and there are side dishes if you want more food. The food is good. Not too greasy. The pancakes are tasty.

The place is usually packed and tables are close together so don't expect to have any privacy or private conversation. I could hear everything that people on each side of me were saying during our meal.

There are usually long lines after 11am so get there early to beat the crowds. It is a popular place among expats and Koreans alike. It was nice to try once, but it won't be a restaurant I frequent often. It's just too expensive and too busy.
