Some reviewers have commented that the Sejong Hotel is a bit old and dated. I personally found the hotel to be like a grande dame, aging but still graceful and reminiscent of a past era. The hotel style feels very 19th century with the marble and wood accents and the impeccably outfitted doorman/bellman/staff.
I was very welcomed and the reception was nice enough to suggest changing my room from a twin-bedded to a queen sized bed at their own initiative. The standard room I booked was good enough for a solo traveler or couple, relatively well-maintained and clean. Room service was impressively fast - my lunch was delivered in 5 minutes although they had initially informed that it might take up to 20 minutes to be prepared.
The best part about Sejong Hotel is its super convenient location - the airport bus stops right in front of Sejong for both Incheon and Gimpo airports and the subway exit #10 of Myeongdong station is just mere meters away from the entrance if you should wish to venture further afield to Namdaemun and Dongdaemun. The shopping streets of Myeongdong are just a short stroll away and you can shop to your heart's content, return to the hotel and dump your loot, refresh and head out once again!
TIP : if you use the side entrance next to the washrooms/side elevator you are nearer to Myeongdong compared to using the front entrance!
