“Beautiful hotel near City Hall”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

Booked by third party for work.

This hotel is on the KAL limo bus route 6701 so great airport accessibility for 16$. Check in was very polite and pleasant, smilling. Was provided a nice suite on a high floor.

The suite was modern, with the living room at the entrance, sofa and funky "ball of wood" table , TV, Nespresso system, 2 bottles of water per day, and great view.

The bedroom had a king bed, TV, centralized remote for all lights, temperature and curtains. The bathroom had a separate bath ans shower, and an excellent bidet/toilet (love that!).

Breakfast was included on the second floor "Seven Squares" restaurant, good mix of Western, Eastern and Korean offerings, very upscale, and excellent service.

Gym and pool are in adjacent building, well equipped with all cardio, weights, machines, putting green and driving range. The pool is on the top floor of that annex , Olympic size, with a nice view of Seoul. This appears to be a private health club, as some zones are off limits to hotel guests. And they are strict about bathing caps (they will lend you one).

The hotel is close to many restaurants, Namdaemun Market, Lotte and public transport....excellent place!

My husband and I stayed one night here on a Seoul stopover. We got a great rate for a premium room suite, and it was just what we needed! Big, comfortable rooms. The hotel itself is very stylish with great service, and staff that were able to recommend great places for dinner and breakfast. Its located a great location and all round a fabulous hotel.

This hotel is in a great location in Seoul, just opposite city hall, loads of Korean restaurants, just down the back street from the hotel. The breakfast is very in good in the Hotel.

The only negative thing I could say is in the summer the aircon is not great and the restaurants are very expensive, alcohol is approximately $22 dollars a beer and Tea was $18 dollars per cup.

The Restaurants opposite are a third of the price and the food is great.

Room Tip: Check for upgrades to the club floor and you get free drinks and snacks.

Each time we take family to Seoul, we stay at this lovely hotel. The central location allows you to see most attractions within walking distance as well as the hotel bus taking you a little further for no charge.
We are always remembered when we visit and the concierges are always most helpful with ideas of places to take our guests to.

Room Tip: Premier suites are lovely for the space, but if you want a view, choose the rooms facing City Hall...

We are a couple from Canada who stayed at the Plaza during our first visit to Seoul, and the Plaza was a great choice. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a staff who was very nice and polite and offered to help us with the luggage. Since we arrived later in the evening, he called the restaurant for us and directed us to one where we can get sam ge tang (korean famous chicken soup).
The room- front desk upgraded us to one facing the front where there is nicer view. Room was smaller than we expected, however enough for 2 people. High tech- automatic curtains and lights controlled by the bedside. The only thing is it's doesn't look impeccable, some marks and scratches on the walls. But overall very clean, the cleaning lady does an excellent job everyday and we come back to a very clean room (and she always came to clean when we were not there- great timing).
The staff- the concierge Angela was very helpful and can speak English reasonably well. She helped us with almost all of our itinerary directing us where to eat and how to get to places. She even called and booked an appt for us since we wanted to get a hair makeover in Seoul. Thank you Angela!
Location- very convenient. The subway station is right outside the back of the hotel, and there's also an underground shopping tunnel where it leads to other shopping malls like Lotte Department store and Myeongdong (main shopping street with cosmetics). It was so useful for us since it was so cold when we visited.

Room Tip: Pick a room facing the front- it has a nice view of the city

Hotel is nice, with peculiar hall and very good design, first choice walls, tiles and some furniture. On the other hand, I would have expected larger rooms for a 5 stars hotel, with more features, larger tub and bathroom, larger desk to work.
For some aspect a real 5 stars hotel, for some other a 4 star one.
They didn't even inform us well that the fitness center was under reconstruction and not available. Maybe it was written in the website somewhere, but I did not see it. Too bad...

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in Dec 2014 and it was a pleasant stay. First impressions count, really. From the very first step into this hotel, we knew that it will be a luxury stay.

We had a triple room overlooking the main street and other buildings. The cozy lighting made the room feel comfortable. The toilet toiletries and amenities were great too, complete with a rain shower, auto-flush toilet and a weighing scale! One thing that i do not like though, is that the room is really small. We practically had no space to open up all our luggage at once (we had 3 big luggage), unless we put them on the bed =( But we could easily overlook this as there was really zero issues with this hotel.

Overall, we had a great stay in this hotel. The staff were polite too. Big thumbs up for this hotel!
