This is a very good hotel in the middle of this popular and stylish district. I have stayed here numerous times over the last four years and it is very consistent. It has the benefit of a large underground shopping mall attached to the complex along with the popular Hyundai Department store. The Marco Polo restaurant that is affiliated to the hotel but in a separate tower has the advantage of a 52nd floor view.
The hotel has all the amenities you expect of a top international hotel. Business center, fitness center and numerous restaurants. The ever popular lounge on the ground floor has live music some evenings and is always crowded as it is a good unofficial meeting place for business people. There is a Chinese, French, Steak, and Italian restaurants to choose from with various degrees of formality, along with a magnificent breakfast room with a breathtaking array of food from all regions in the basement. So if you intend to skip lunch you can fill up before you leave in the morning.
The only reason that I do not give this five dots is that it really has not changed in four or five years and despite the extensive marble floors etc, some of the public rooms now look a little old fashioned. The guest rooms appear to be undergoing renovation and on this last trip, the room I had was definitely updated. Beds are comfortable, wi fi works and they are upgrading the digital TVs as I write this. Overall you cant go wrong if you want to be in this part of town. I will be back.
