“Good location and huge room. Paid Wifi. 3.5 is a fair score.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I did'nt have much time to look for a location in Seoul, so I went for reasonable prices and location. Fraser Suites offered a good deal and it's located in a great location. We were offered a huge room with 3 separete bedrooms, a large living room and a kitchen. Much more than we needed, but we didn't have a problem with it.
Consider the hotel is not up to date with maitainence, so you can easily note that furniture, doors and other parts of the room are in need of maitainence, but nothing that really interfeered in our stay. Towels were not in the best shape as well. Wifi was not for free and had a limit of devices you can connect (hate that).
Used the gym, and its in good shape! Great materials!
Dind't have the breakfeast there once it was expensive, and you can find plenty of cafes arround the hotel area.
In the end, 3.5 stars would be the appropriate score, but its not possible here, so I rounded down to 3.

We reserved a 2-bedroom & were upgraded to 3. We enjoyed the location and the service was great. They upgraded the wifi while we were there, so it is excellent. The suites are spacious quite nice. I highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Better views the higher up you go.

The Fraser Suites was in an excellent location. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We had booked a 3 bedroom suite and apon arrival were upgraded to a 4 bedroom. I must say the one windowless bedroom was not very useful, but with the additional bedroom it worked out fine. The suite was fully equipped in the kitchen with everything one would need to cook, including rice cooker. The nice addition was a combination washer and dryer in the kitchen. After having travelled 2 weeks prior to arriving here it was quite welcome. The suite had 2 full bathrooms, a comfortable couch with 2 side chairs. A full dining room table which sat 6 people, and 2 televisions. Wifi was very fast but was an additional charge.
The staff at front desk was very helpful to me by writing in Korean a note I could bring and show at restaurants what my dietary challenges were being Vegan.
We were lucky enough staying in this area because it is walking distance to many local attractions, shopping areas and restaurants.
A coffee shop downstairs was convenient though pricey. Security is very good as you even need your room card to use the elevator and to go from coffee shop back into hotel lobby.
The hotel was clean and tidy and I certainly would go there again. Of note bring your own shampoo and conditioner. There is a pool, gym, sauna, hot tub as well as a children's play room on second floor.

Room Tip: You can hear street noise from the room, so if this is a problem for you get a higher floor.

We got a 3 bedroom apartment suite as there were 6 of us. The place is clean and tidy and it's pretty central. The Jongka metro station is just 5 minutes walk away and there are many restaurants, food stall around just around the corner of the hotel. I'm generally happy with the location.

The staffs were friendly and they are able to converse in English pretty well. They could even translate a few phrase for me when I wanted to go to a Korean salon to do my hair.

The kitchen is well equip with a standard fridge, microwave, pots and pans.

Having said that, I have a few qualms on the place. With 6 of us, they only had 3 sets of towel prepared for us when we first went to the apartment. We had to request more before they furnish it for us.

Apart from that, for one of the bathroom, the shower stall floods when we take a shower.

Pls note that the 3rd bedroom does not have a window. It's is rather dark even in the daytime if light is not switched on. For that bedroom, the door has glass and it is see through.

Another item is that they only offer 1 wifi pass per apartment. Each extra pass is chargeable at KW50,000 each. I think they can improve on this, it should not standard of 1 wifi pass per apartment but they should weigh the number of bedroom and the number of people staying in the apartment.

It was an older room (they were taking measurements for renovation) but it was nice and clean. The room was cold at night as it was in-between seasons and the heaters were not turned on (a portable heater was made available to us). The room was outfitted with a full kitchen including a full sized refrigerator, pots and pans, dishes and utensils. It also included a washer/dryer. They supplied us with converters for our U.S. devices and also a transformer for my wife's higher wattage hair styling device. The hotel supplied a hair dryer along with an iron and ironing board. The hotel has shuttles running to business and shopping locations (including Costco). The staff spoke English and were helpful and friendly.
The location is hard to beat being located in Insadong and is close to train and bus lines and lots of restaurants. We walked to the palaces and Dongdaemun and Gwangjang markets. Namdaemun and Myeongdong shopping is a little further but still less than a mile and a half.
Like a previous reviewer mentioned, the downside is the high price.

just back from our 2nd stay at the FSI (last stayed here in 2012).Lobby renovations have been completed and property is still the same clean and comfortable place it was.
booked a 3-room apartment (3rd room has no window) via agoda (as usual) and although we arrived early (c.10:00am) and had requested an early check-in,once again this was not possible as they are pretty adamant about the check-in time of 3pm,remain 3pm! no negotiations here!
from reviews here,i pre-booked a 'jumbo taxi' for the 4 of us plus luggage from Mr.KANG (his contact details below) and he was very professional and punctual.1-way ride from Incheon to FSI,cost KW 95,000 (US$ 88) which was cheaper than the FSI's mpv that we took during our previous stay here which cost KW 125,000 (US$ 116)
LOCATION: off the main roads/city center but surrounded by many restaurants, bars, street stalls/vendors and shops.lots of artsy shops around too but no major shopping malls, which was fine.taxis were easy to get and the subway (JONGGOK) was just a 5-minute walk away.there's a chic coffee place at the rear entrance and a mini 7-11 just across the main entrance.7-11 staff were very friendly as before.
CHECK-IN: As we were early,no one else was at the front-desk and check-in was fast and efficient.WIFI and breakfast was not included in our package but from our previous stay,we knew we could get great food very nearby and the apartment had a complete kitchen so we could also cook whatever we wanted.
we left our luggage at the concierge and took off for some sight-seeing.it's autumn now and was a very nice 15-18C.
APARTMENT: Large and comfy with air-conditioning.Beds were very comfy and there was adequate cable channels for the whole family.washing machine, fridge, microwave, gas stove, etc.a home away from home! Bath attached to master bedroom and 2nd bathroom shared .was pretty clean too.

we had booked a tour to NAMI island from viator on our 2nd day for about US$381 (4pax) inclusive lunch.being a saturday, that was a big mistake as the traffic was simply killer! what was to be a 90-minute drive became a 3.5hr crawl! i thought the traffic was bad in bangkok.....this was worse!! should have taken the train which would have taken only 50 minutes!
as traffic was so bad,all 16 of us on the bus got off and walked the last km.nothing prepared us for the crowd that we came across.was simply huge and many were koreans on a weekend trip.
the island is a short 5-minute ferry ride and was beautiful, but with the crazy amount of people around, wasnt that fun!

CHECK-OUT: check-out time is 11:00am and as our flight back was at night,we left our luggage at the concierge and spent the rest of the day shopping.Mr.KANG was waiting for us when we got back and the trip to INCHEON airport took us about an hour

For fans of LV,there IS the only LV duty-free shop in the world at INCHEON! was a pleasant surprise as prices were 10-20% cheaper than retail

Room Tip: high floor
