My husband & I stayed in this Sofitel hotel for a week in May of 2009. The hospitality of the employees exceeded our expectations; friendly, professional & knowledgable. Our room had a view of Namsan tower , very clean, comfortable bed & pillows. We loved the strong water pressure in our shower & the heated toilet seat. Breakfast buffet is a must; mix of western & asian food with fresh fruit bar. There is a Korean Sauna on site. Complimentary bus rides to & from downtown Seoul was a plus. The subway is 5 minutes walking distance & easy to figure out. We took our clothes to a dry cleaners nearby & saved $$$. Will definitely stay here again !!!

A comfortable & competent hotel. I was on a busy 2-night trip to Seoul, and needed a hotel providing pleasant and well-run accommodation. The Ambassador did not disappoint.
Late evening arrival was no problem, checkin was efficient. I was upgraded from Superior Double to Suite as they couldn't provide the booked room - but who can complain at that? Staff were helpful courteous and professional. The room was clean and spacious for one person (although an international room with no particular character), and everything worked well. The decor is just starting to show some signs of wear, but it's a very minor matter. Breakfast was a mix of Eastern & Western, which added interest, and was a fresh and plentiful buffet. It's a shame I was too tired to really appreciate it ini the mornings! The bar is pleasant, but I cannot recommend the house band 'Gran-A' - most Kareoke turns are no worse than this! However, it did not detract from the stay.

That was my first trip to Korea as I am not aware about the city ,tourist spots and industrial area

I stayed in that hotel for 5 days and out of that 5 days I never expereince anything odd to Indian as Continental food is available and all Staff was Beautiful and co-operative mostly thier staff who is guiding all new Entrant to city for city Tour,Night Life

Stayed here for 1 night while in Seoul. Vallet parking was great but as we walked in to the foyer we were met by rushing flustered staff, screaming children and many wedding guests who werent concerned about the experience of others staying in the hotel. We carried our own bags to the checkin counter and were greated by a similar rushed and non welcoming checkin. We carried our bags to our room and were met by a strong chemical smell (as though they were covering the previous guests cigarette smoke). We opened the window and left the building for a couple of hours. We asked the concierge how could we get to the top of Nam Sam mountain and he just shrugged and suggested we ask the taxi driver. The one redeeming feature of this hotel was the excellent service and quality of food we experienced in the buffet restaurant.
