“Decent hotel, if a little dated.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

This is a good business hotel, in a nice location across from the big temple. The club lounge is busy and well appointed, but the rooms are a little dated and stuffy. I've stayed here and at the Grand Intercontinental on the other side of the block. They are both nice, but The Grand is more updated. Certainly, if this hotel is cheaper, it is completely suitable and comfortable.

Great location and clean, modern facilities. Very enviromental friendly hotel with very friendly staff. Food at hotel has something to be desired. The morning breakfast buffet is not as expansive as many i've seen. We dined for lunch looking for western food, only to find a $50 USD hamburger as the only beef option.

Arriving in the hotel was a breeze. I recommend taking the KAL airport limo bus with direct door-to-door service to and from ICN airport.
The hotel immediately impressed us with a huge and grand lobby. The front desk staff promptly checked us in the rooms. We booked 2 rooms on club floor. The front desk staff took notice of our hotel elite membership privileges and refunded the club floor charges without asking! Why? Since they did not have higher-level rooms to upgrade us, they chose to charge us the normal room rate and gave us back the club floor rooms as an upgrade! What an honest and graceful courtesy! I have never encountered such generosity despite my years of patronage with this hotel brand.
The COEX mall is Asia's largest underground shopping mall. There was direct access of the mall from the hotel on LG2 level. From there, one could walk to Sam Seoung subway station without leaving the building complex. But it took a sweating 10-minute robust walking. Hopefully, there would be a brand new subway station opening next to the hotel in a few years time. Construction was undergoing.
Don't miss the club lounge cocktail hours if you have access. The generous spread of food and drinks there could easily make a meal.
One minor detail concerning the lack of toothbrushes and toothpaste inside the room as mentioned by previous reviewers. Frankly, some people might find it inconvenient. But the fact is, there was a note inside the bathroom saying that disposable dental kits could be supplied without charges if the guests called up guest services.

Stayed here with my aunt last week (April 10 - 15). Hotel was just stunning. From its lobby to it's rooms

Hotel Staff were just helpful and spoke english which is a challenge in Korea. Most helpful were the concierge team, Dragon, Alex, Stephan and Peter were very much helpful in giving directions and suggestions on what to see in seoul and arranged a tour for my family in DMZ area (Dragon was the one who helped me with this)

Location wise, it is pretty convenient. From airport all you have to take is the Korean Airline Bus Shuttle at 15,000 krw which will take you infront of the hotel, there's also a mall and Duty Free connecting to the hotel, plus Seoul metro is a 10 -15 minute walk.

I stayed for 2 nights with my family in April 2013. The hotel lobby was grand and the elevators were fast and spacious.
The hotel room was neat and clean. The beds were so comfortable that make waking up a hard job to do! You can choose to take a shower or have a wonderful bubble bath!

Though not very close to city centre, it is attached to a very big underground shopping mall. The Coex Aquarium definitely worth visiting! I was surprised by the size of the aquarium and variety of the exhibits. It took us two hours to finish the visit and we had to rush through the penguins and coral fish!

Hotel location is great, right above the COEX mall and COEX. Stayed for a week attending conferences at COEX. Hotel environment very nice and rooms are clean. COEX mall downstairs has everything you need, just make sure you pick up a map once down there, its a maze! there's a nice temple right across the street, very unusual to be in the middle of the most expensive and busy district of Seoul. BF buffet at the onsite restaurant is very expensive, $45 for BF is really high for a 5 star restaurant. And the selection is rather limited for the price you pay. overall a good expereince but would probobly pick somewhere else for better value next time in town.
