“Great location in Gangnam”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2012

I cannot praise this hotel enough! The location is very convenient for the traveler whether for business or pleasure as the COEX mega mall is located just behind and endless choices of restaurants and bars are within a short walking distance. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. I had a standard room with a queen size bed, and the decor was simply put-tasteful. The reason I chose this hotel was for the convenience of transportation for a one night layover as I like to ride the KAL limousine bus, but I must admit that I would go out of my way to stay here.

This is my hotel of choice when I go to Seoul. About an hour from the airport. Take the airport limo bus, easy and less expensive; a nice ride, drops you right at the hotel front door. The staff is super helpful and speak great English.

Hotel restaurant on the main floor right is average at best, so skip it. The 2nd level Korean restaurant is good, but a bit expensive. There are numerous dining choices down in the Mall.

Business center services are expensive, so I book a Club level room to get complimentary internet (great connection) plus breakfast, afternoon tea and evening snacks and drinks. Breakfast was limited, but included foods warm and cold, dim sum, and pastry, juice, coffee, yogurt, etc.

Room Tip: Always recommend the club level rooms for the added value services included in the rate.

I had a great stay here in Dec 2012, attending a symposium in the next door COEX centre. Telling you it has delightfully courteous staff, wonderful rooms and an excellent gym does nothing to communicate the atmosphere of confidence and civility that characterises this hotel. Set in the Gangnam district, you are truly going to get to see what PSY is singing about up close! My room on the 26th floor had a fantastic view (admittedly better at night when one is dazzled by the lights rather than disappointed by the architecture), a great bed and a toilet seat on which all others should be based. The robe, as ever, didn't quite fit (though not as ill-fitting as some), but the excellent housekeeping and attention to detail was very good. At breakfast I encourage you to ask the ever-smiling chef to knock you up an omelette (done in moments), and enjoy the range of food available (though the fruit is strangely disappointing and lacking in variety). The gym and pool are great (they will even lend you kit at no charge if you are without it), and the lobby service is an extension of an ever-polite and courteous demeanour, a fabulous space that serves good coffee and cocktails. Wireless Internet is terrible, and whilst the bathrooms are dated (and don't match the quiet, threatening power of the main room's decor), they are perfectly adequate and enhanced by the aforementioned toilet seat!

If you are in Seoul only for a few days, then you cannot do better than this! True Gangnam style, even if once out the door you are confronted by Seoul's sclerotic traffic which would make dancing to your destination a viable option.

Room Tip: Ask for one as high up as possible.

every thing is done for business men. check in is done in a while. the room is large, somptuous, quality is there, and nothing is missing. shower is large, bathroom is really what I expect in such well branded hotel. Courtesy , professionalism and simplicity are the keys to success. food is excellent .

I stayed for business for 2 nights. Overall will rate this property a little below par as compared to other Intercon hotels that I have stayed in. This comes out from lobby decor, room furnishings etc. However, I suspect that this is also due to its proximity to the exhibition center next door which means an above average movement of people. Location was excellent but rooms just lacked the customary warmth that you expect from an Intercon. Bathrooms was practical and spacious.

Other than that, staff welcome and attention on arrival was first rate, room upgrade was already done for Plat Ambassador and quality of service was excellent. A word of complaint though: I had booked a river view elite room which was upgraded to a club floor but not the river view that was booked: a little attention to detail is always helpful

Did not use any service so cannot comment on that. Overall, I would not consider this property to be at par with some other Intercons that I have stayed in elsewhere.

Room Tip: The hotel is right in the center of all activity and having a room at one of the higher floors was h...

I took 5 rooms for 4 nights , for me & customers , it's nice hotel large space at the rooms and facilities , But the rooms are equipped with an old decoration
furniture and the worse is the bathroom – not typical to intercontinental chain ….we came to this hotel from intercontinental at HK , which has nothing to compare..
we ask a smoking rooms , but there is no ashtray at the room !
very disappointment also from the upgrade the offer to "Gold Ambassador" member..not room upgrade just entrance to the club launce.
If you like to play at the Casino..there is a great tunnel from the hotel direct to the Casino- only for foreigners .
Also the breakfast is amazing in options & taste ..but this is common to all intercontinental hotels .
Enjoy the life fox..
Sas

Room Tip: Ask for city view..and if you a smoker, make sure to bring ashtray from home..:)

Quality hotel in the heart of Gagnam Seoul. First class large room with all the standard extras you would expect from a large chain, and therefore nothing to complain about - however nothing to wow!

Eat at the restaurant on the top floor - excellent French food, first class service and a fantastic view of the city.

Would stay again.
