This was our second visit to Seoul and my and my husband thought we would check out a love hotel. We had heard a lot of mixed things about them, but figured we would take a chance and book one in the Gangnam district.
First off, finding it is hard. Even with the address the cab driver had a hard time locating it and that's because its down a little road off the main one. We ended up asking for directions from the hotel right in front of it called the L Hotel and turns out it was like twelve steps away right behind. Though it is hard to first locate it, the hotel is very close to the subway and the movie theater. There are a lot of restaurants around the area, so you can also take advantage of those.
The price for the room was awesome. We paid about 65 dollars a night for a deluxe room. I am not sure what the name of the room was (as they have names) but it had a giant Jacuzzi in an even bigger bathroom. There was also a TV installed into the wall so you could watch as you sat and relaxed. For a love hotel everything seemed pretty clean. The bed was pristine white and everyday they changed the house robes and towels. They also provide a lot of lotions and creams that are no extra cost, and of course they have condoms.
The room was spacious and nice, with murals on the wall. The elevator has a music system in it that played music every time you went in. The hallway is like a dark velvet, and does make the hotel seem sketchy. The lobby is ok, but nothing special.
They have breakfast each morning, but admittedly I never got up early enough to partake. The staff were friendly, and did speak some English. Would I come back? Absolutely!
