“A smoggy/cloudy view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Catch the cable car up Namsan mountain from near myeongdong. On the day we were there it was cloudy/smoggy so it wasn't really worth paying to go up the tower. Instead the viewing platforms provide a high view over Seoul, and the city is HUGE! Lots of places to eat and drink in and around the tower, including one cafe with a cool viewing area. Take a padlock if you want to join the padlocks love section.

“Number One Voted Landmark by Tourists”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013

We took the Seoul City Tour Bus, Circulation Course (free with your Seoul City Day Pass; W 12,000 adult/ W 8,000/child (2-story bus)) that you can hop on and off at 26 destination throughout the day and got off at N Seoul Tower, which was not on our itinerary but we got off on a whim. Supposedly, you can also get the N Seoul by cable car but we did not take that route. If you have more time, you can also take your time at Namsan Park which is also at N Seoul Tower (ticket price W 9,000 adult/W 5,000 child). Before the entrance, you'll see a banner saying that it's voted number destination by foreign travelers.

N Seoul Tower is not the tallest towers in the world by any means but it boasts a 360 degree view of downtown Seoul and Namsan Mountain, as well as a has a historical and cultural significant for the people of Seoul and so I think that is why it is the number one voted destination. Interestingly, I asked the elevator guy there and my Korean friend as to the meaning of "N", and no one seems to know. If you're going to the top, make sure to stop by the "toilet" as it will surprise you with a complete open view of the outside. Bring padlocks if you're lovers who want to be tied together at the love pad lock trees.

“Worth visiting!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

the view from the top of tower is just good, but is not so much different than any tower's in other cities i've ever climbed up. However the tower itself is amazing. One of romantic places for couples. near the tower there is aplace where hundreds of keys, on which people wrote love letter ( which means that their love never part), clinging the walls. Very nice to enjoy its exotic atmosphere.

“Check for Haze”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

This was cool - make sure you check for haze/pollution before you go up though. I made (paid) my way up there and realized I couldn't see much which was anticlimactic. I enjoyed it nevertheless! The lines were long though and it was FREEZING, so if you are coming in the winter make sure you bundle up!
