“hidden gem in seoul”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

situated overlooking a lake and the lotte world amusement park. lots of nearby restaurants and night spots. most hotels in area are nearly twice the price, and this hotel has all most people need. a fitness center is the missing item. the restaurant is good for dinner, western style, but breakfast is limited. many restaurants in area make up for this lack.
rooms are large and well furnished. a/c and light controls take some practice but function well. staff is very helpful and friendly.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

Over the last 6 years I have stayed at the lake over 30 times. This hotel is 100% consistent.

The rooms are very large, spotlessly clean, with a full bathroom including walk in shower.

This is not a 5 star hotel, but it is a fantastic business hotel. Very high speed internet (wired), huge lcd Tv, water dispenser with ice cold and boiling water, mini fridge and seating area.

One side of the hotel has a view of Lotte World Amusement Park, the other side looks on the back of the hotel. The staff are very efficient and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the back of the hotel are quieter.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2012

Stayed at the hotel for four nights during a business trip to Seoul.
Hotel room is quite Ok, although the view of the backside is not so beautiful.

Breakfast is something you better skip, costs around 10$ but this is not a buffet, just serving of what you ordered - American, Local or continental type, very minimalistic.
Around there is variety of coffee shops that possible to get descent espresso and light snack.

Hotel lacks of a fitness club, there is sauna region but it looks very suspicions...there are also two underground floors so called business services, usually used by locals.
BUT! it is located just across a street from a great lake which is surrounded by special round route for jogging and walking - best option for fitness.

In general, if the region is convenient as a start point this hotel is OK for affordable price.

Room Tip: Try to get the lake view

I stay at the Lake Hotel at least 8 times a year. It is consistently good. The rooms have slightly different themes, but similar layouts.

This is not a luxurious holiday hotel, however it has everything you need, very spacious rooms and is exceptionally clean with very efficient staff.

Well located hotel with large, comfortable, scrupulously clean rooms with great tub, shower and bath supplies. Fridge and coffee/ tea station and well regulated heat/cool and television all remote controlled. Pleasant accommodating staff. Didn't try the restaurant because there are great soup restaurants, a coffee shop on the park and a dessert cafe to die for within less than a block. No Wi Fi but a computer station in the lobby.

Room Tip: A view of Lotte world ( Disney knock off) is very pleasant.

The hotel is modern style with an elegant oriental touch. Rooms are really comfortable, big and clean, with 1st class complimentary bath products and all comforts.
Hotel staff is extremely kind and they all speak English.
Breakfast is a bit boring, mainly based on eggs and pork, but the view from the restaurant (and many of the rooms) is stunning: beautiful skyline and the adjacent park.
Very good position too.

Room Tip: Request a room with view over the park.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2011

Overall, it was decent. For about $100/night, it was worth it. I would stay again because of the great location and the vacinity of the metro rail and also to the Korean Air Limousine bus that takes you from/to Incheon International Airport.

PROS: location was great, it overlooked the Lotte man made pond and it was pretty. Good view of some skyscrapers. It is within walking distance to Lotte Shopping Center which has the Jamsil underground metro rail. Great, location! The staff was curteous also.

CONS: wi-fi not available, bathroom needs serious caulking, can be a little loud when you open your window since we were situated in front of the Lotte amusement park (screaming from roller coasters), bed a bit hard. Breakfast offering was a bit bland, but the view is good from the 10th floor. Towels were so dirty, I would suggest bringing your own travel towel (seriously).
