“Fun way up the hill to an amazing view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2014

The funicular is a fun way to get up the hill to an absolutely stunning view over Tbilisi (as well as the theme park rides and gardens). It's a few blocks back from Rustaveli Boulevard up a slight incline.

“Fast and convenient transport”

To and from Nariqala fortress/Botanical gardens/Kartlis Deda (Mother Georgia) and the area near the new opera house (Rike park) this is a fast and convenient mode of transport.

“Best view of hole city!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2013

WOW!!!! View is really breathtaking!!! Also there is a station in the middle where you can visit old cemitety. All the way up (and down) you enjoy great view of all city. We were there in the evening and all city was full of lights like in fairytale. You can take a walk in the park on top and/or eat very tasty food in nice restaurant right in the station building.

“Worth Your Time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2013

During a recent trip to Tbilisi, a very good friend took me to the Amusement Park and Brand New Restaurant on the Mtatsminda plateau. The neat electric tram/carriage system up the cliff is a nice beginning. A little pricey I think....but hey, you're on an adventure right. At the top is a very cool Entertainment and Amusement Park. It is wonderfully different from western amusement parks as it has a very nice, completely non-commercial family feel. Several interactive things for entire families to enjoy. The restaurant which is also new, is very clean with a very nice interior design. The servers and staff are very proficient and graciously granted my friend permission to go to the top floor (which was closed) to see the view. Very nice staff people. The bar (I'm a bartender) has a very fun but sophistacated feel to it. Very striking and no-nonsense graphical design of this bar. Fully stocked (I spent time looking) with premium liquor. While I can't judge the drinks or service as it was closed during my visit, I think it would be worth having a couple of drinks with friends and look out over the city. Was their during the day which was nice, but have to think it would be quite nice at night.
