“The Incredble Speed of the Escalators”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

Tbilisi metro has only two lines and has a common feature of the soviet built era namely very deep under the ground.
The interior of the train is very basic without any ads and also no map of the network.
Fortunately the announcement of the next station is in Georgian and English.

Watch the speed of the escalators!

“Take a seat”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013 via mobile

The escalators are so long the locals often take a seat. An easy system to navigate and covers many sights. You need to buy a (refundable) travel card for about 3 lari. Load cash up on the machines at metro stations (there's an English translation button). Rides cost about 0.50 lari and you can share a card between people. The metro is not flash, but it can be quicker than taxis.

“A great way to wander around”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

The system might be a touch rickety, but it is quick, clean and a terrific way to spin around the city
