Ended up staying at this hostel for a week and a half in total, met some pretty cool people, and had a good visit to Tbilisi. The 10bed dorms were very affordable, clean, and had enough power outlets to charge my stuff. Laundry service was easy and cheap. Bathrooms and kitchen were also kept clean. Location is about a 10 min walk to either the metro station or the river. Good neighborhood with lots of delicious food. Thanks to the awesome staff!!

Pros- Friendly Staffs at Reception speaking excellent English. The staffs were able to provide recommendation on weather and places to go for sight-seeing and food. Location is great as well in a less noisy, laid-back areas.
Cons- 1. We experience occasional spurts of chilling cold water while taking a shower.
2. The tour we did with Old Town which covered the Historical Monuments of Mtskheta and Uplistsikhe was relatively average compared to tours organised agencies. I think it is mainly due to the driver/guide not having sufficient background knowledge of the monuments and uplistsikhe, or even articulate these information in English. To make the tour at Uplistsikhe meaningful, we paid for a guide(whom we were told the avaliable ones can only speak Russian or Georgian) for 15 Laris and the entry fee of 3 Laris for the driver/guide for translation. We were disappointed as the information given on these sites were limited. On a later date, we found other guide who was able to share more details on these sites. Old Town also informed us that Kazbegi's road is closed on the dates we intended to go, which we found out later that another hostel has went on those dates.

old town hostel kotor is a a cosy and very well designed place and the staff try their best to keep things running and to entertain people. things i didnt like: the 10 bed dorms went quickly very smelly because of the bathrooms. it was very noisy there, which is partly because its in a small lifely street, but staff could definitly more. also, reception should open in time. to keep it closed till 8 am in the morning is quite long, so it should be opend at least as announced.

Room Tip: dont sleep in a room facing the street

We went to this hostel on a touristic trip to Tblisi. It is conviniently located in the old town of Tblisi close to the freedom plaza and the river with the new bridge of peace. Therefore you can reach it good with the metro an walk to some of the nicest restaurants in Tblisi. The management was nice and helpfull. The free wifi worked without problems. The rooms are very basic as are the shared bathrooms. If you want a driver for e.g. an excoursion to Kazbegi the staff can hook you up with a driver (for a good price). If you need luxury or expect a hotel room you need to go to another place but if you want something with a reasonable price in a good location and friendly people this place is a good choice.

Fabulous laid back hostel in the centre of old town Tbilisi. The staff are ever helpful, the bathrooms are wonderfully clean and it's great value for money. The only downside is that the upstairs rooms are up several flights of stairs. Ask for the dorm rooms on the ground floor if you have lots of luggage.

The hostel is very central and with a relaxed atmosphere and a very helpful and friendly staff. Giorgi, the manager, who was really fun to hang out with, took us on savaral daytrips around Tibilisi, which are very reccomendable. The price of these tours depends on the amount of people joining the trip. At the front room and the terrace infront the door people can sit and have a beer. It is a sociable place but no party hostel, so it is still possible to get a good night sleep after you hit the bars with your fellow travellers. Tibilisi is an awsome place to visit and if I go a second time I will definitly check in the Old Town Hostel again!

Our stay at Old Town Hostel exceeded our expectations. Location is great. The hostel is clean and well-equipped. Staff was warm, welcoming and exceptionally dedicated. Overall atmosphere relaxed, with guests open, but respectful.

Those wishing to discover Tbilisi and Georgia, with its magnificent sights and landscapes will be happy to learn that the staff helps organizing tours and visits, all tailor-made for your needs.

The only thing missing on our stay was time. But we will be back!

Room Tip: Double bedrooms are great.
