“Great staff, wonderful hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2010

The Iveria -a former refugee hold up- is an icon in the city.
The rooms are very hip and make up a playful and open atmosphere. The bed is the best of the many hotels I have slept in. The selection of very comfortable pillows is a plus. The staff are absolutely incedible and all speak very good English (compared to Georgian Airlines... it is a difference of night and day).
The spa on the 18/19 floor is a unique experience before/after a day of work.
I usually do not stay in such an expensive hotel as the Iveria.... But I am a returning customer because the place is simply great.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2010

Just finished a four night stay with our respective parents; three rooms in total, of which two business class. What a fantastic stay! This hotel is new, spotless and stylish, the staff incredibly warm, friendly and helpful, and the pool/ leisure centre among the best. The location is convenient, around 20 mins walk from the old town, near the opera, concert hall and commercial centre.

The rooms are really comfortable and well-appointed, particularly business class, which is a very worthwhile upgrade in my opinion. Our large, BC, corner room had spectacular, floor-to-ceiling views on three sides, spacious work and sitting areas, large bathroom with separate bathtub, shower enclosure and WC, and was wonderfully light, open and airy. Wi-fi was free, fast and had a strong signal, but had to be re-registered daily. The coffee machine was a welcome, and much-used, treat. The TV was large, but could only be viewed from the bed and bathroom, not the work or sitting areas, which was one of very few flaws. The bathroom is separated from the bedroom only by clear glass walls, without blinds, which could be a consideration for some.

The (enclosed), rooftop, infinity pool is fabulous, with huge height, space and glass walls around it, offering stunning views across the city. The saunas, steam- and relaxation rooms, also on the top floor, offer the same views and all create an unbelievably relaxing environment. Really top notch. Similarly wonderful views from the top floor bar and first floor restaurant and terrace.

Breakfast buffet, other food and drinks all high quality, good value and served well. Staff was uniformly lovely, warm and hardworking. My only gripes were a couple of inevitable language misunderstandings and a rather long wait for poached eggs, which should be made at the egg station, but are in fact ordered from the kitchen, with a long wait.

By far the best choice in Tbilisi, leagues ahead of the existing Marriott and Sheraton, and strong competition for the coming Intercontinental and Kempinski. Highly recommended.

Dear LunaLondon,

Thank you very much for your very detailed comments about your experience in the Radisson Blu Iveria. Together with our team we will work on the points that we can improve.

We are glad that you and your family enjoyed your time with us and it is good to hear that we are also a good choice for a family break away and not only for business trips.

We are looking forward to welcoming you back.

I had an excellent stay of six nights while on business in Tbilisi in September. The hotel is of a very high standard, the staff is excellent, and the food is also very good. The bar on the top floor of the hotel offered great views, although drinks there were in excess of even London prices. I stayed in a business-class room overlooking the river, and I can say the room and its furnishings were all top quality, and in fact the hotel in general is very well-appointed, if a bit sterile. I only had two complaints about the room. First, the bed seemed unusually short, to the point that my feet stuck off the end of the bed (I'm 1.86m/73.5in., so not overly tall); second, at least in my corner room the wireless internet signal was weak and sometimes intermittent. If strong wireless internet is a requirement you might want to check the signal strength before accepting the room.

Dear Sir,

I would like to thank you for the business and for your comments.
We are aware of the wi-fi connectivity problem in corner Business Class rooms and currently relocating the wi-fi access points / antennas. Hopefully, your next visit will be problem free.
Best regards from Beautiful Georgia,

Atakan Turhan

Radisson is a little bit away from old town, but there is splendid view, especially when you room is at 10-16th floor!

18-19 floor is dedicated to pleasure- SPA center, swimming pool, bar are situated there. SPA zone is lovely! Massage is great, and the attitude itself- everything is wonderful.
Rooms are well equipped with everything- bath, towels, big bed, nice furniture, etc. WIFI worked quick and everywhere.
Breakfast is very good! everything is fresh and tasty! Terrace in front of the restaurant gives an opportunity to seat outdoors and have you coffee.
Can advice this hotel to everyone, who can afford it, of course- the price is high, but totally worth it!

I have stayed in local hotels in Tbilisi several times, but this was the first and only really comfortable experience. The room was extremely clean and room service was prompt and polite. The working space was great - comfortable and with good internet connection. The spa on the top floor was absolutely wonderful and there is a cafe next to the pool area where you can have a salad or coffee and enjoy fabulous views of Tbilisi. The only big downside was that the public areas are not smoke-free and smoking is not well controlled - but this is not so unusual for Georgia. (Hope for improvement!) The staff was very helpful and the hotel taxi, although more expensive than the local alternative, has seat belts and does not drive at 140km per hour, unlike the locals. What a relief! If your budget can stretch to it, definitely choose this hotel.

The Blu Iveria is in an excellent location in Tbilisi. It's been refurbished to a high quality. The restaurant has a no-smoking area and serves great food. Breakfast is really good and was included in my price, as was free wifi anywhere in the hotel. Large rooms, great views. Perfect., I have booked again for trips later this year.,
