“Above the Monsoon restaurant, a dream store”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

Combine your meal at Monsoon with a visit to this fascinating shop. You walk up some extraordinarily steep steps to discover an emporium of beautiful and charming products. The selection is arranged by color--a blue section, a red section, etc.--and it is all fair trade goods, made by local NGOs or HIV/AIDS victims. It's a great place to stock up on gifts for family and friends, and you know your money is going for good causes.

“A beautiful place to buy local souvenirs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

This shop has a charming decor which invites you to step inside and explore its goodies. Everything in the store is displayed by color schemes, making shopping easy when you are looking for something for that "girl at the office who always wears green," or "my aunt who likes red things."

I appreciated that there was a large price range, allowing me to purchase a few small items for co-workers, as well as more unique gifts for family members. The fact that the shop supports local artists, as well as sits above a restaurant offering a variety of delicious meals, only adds to the attraction.

“Beautiful Shop with nice products”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

I stopped in to Monsoon for dinner last night and popped up to the store to see what they had and came out with a whole shopping bag! It's beautifully laid out with all the products arrayed by color. They have lovely stuffed animals (made by a local NGO that supports women who have been trafficked and returned and IDP women) and very cute paper mache animals, nice jewelry and some textiles. Its a great enterprise and I recommend supporting it.

Lovely fair trade shop with wide variety of souvenirs. Really enjoyed the quality and prices. Lots of jewellery, paper mâché toys, cushion covers, pencil cases, scarves....
Located above Monsoon restaurant. Stairway very step. Stop by Monsoon for refreshments on the way out :)
