“Only one thing to see on this short stop - a huge 70m reclining buddha”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013 via mobile

only one thing to see here - a huge well preserved 70m reclining buddha. Nearby the shwedagon pagoda makes it a worthy stop. Don't try to walk here.

“Buddha reclining”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

How can one not be impressed with such a large reclining Buddha.
The space surrounding the figure is generous for both visitors and pious.

“Better than Bangkok”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013 via mobile

I was going to skip him since I've already seen the one in Bangkok. But this one is better. I usually don't like the painted Buddhas, but this one is beautiful. There is wonderful detail in his eyes. There is a lot more movement to his body than the one in Bangkok, and he's bigger. I highly recommend the quick trip up to see him.

“This gives "big buddha" new meaning”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

Hilarous. A HUGE reclining buddha. And I mean HUGE. You just wander around going "OHM - what IS this thing!". Does not take long to view but worth it. Particularly photo the feet with all the markings on it.

“Must See”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

This is a huge relaxing Buddha with intricate detail in the eyes. Must go up to see. It is nearly the size of a football field! Make sure to get a photo from the platform near the Buddha's feet.
