It used to be a great place to stay about 10 years ago according to locals, but it's TOTALLY rundown now. We were hesitant whether to stay there (because of the turtles and sharks as we have a kid and we thought it would be nice for him to swim with turtle) or at Benjor. Finally we opted for Benjor, but had a day at Bluewater, came as visitors (2000 vatu per person to come there and feed turtles and sharks). Well, you can't swim with turtle there, you'll be lucky if turtle come near you at all (as far as I now turtles are preditors, but at Bluewater you're given a pice of paw paw to feed them)))). Personally I got a better turtle experience in Melbourne Aquarium! Or even at a local one! Feeding sharks - well, it IS fun, but you're given 2-3 pieces of fish, son the fun lasts about 30 sec.
Out of curiosity we ask to show us a room. We were shocked, that such terrible rooms they sold for 175 bucks! All metal bits in the room were rusty, the room is tiny, dark and stuffy. Disgusting shower cabin. Their canteen (I can't call this military style type of eatery any other word) is more than modest by look.
There's another place very close from Bluewater called Turtle Bay - there's a coconut crab farm, where you can actually see and touch the crabs in their native environment, and not just see them through rusty cage, can swim with turtle in the sea and feed fishes in corals. And you can taste the crabs if you like ;-)
But as for Bluewater - don't waste your money on it! I don't even recommend an excursion there - waste of time and money!
