“Family First”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2014

We were recommended Quest apartments by a work colleague of hours, The best advice I have ever taken. Quest Apartments are a family friendly, family safe set up. Our hosts Maggie and Allan are the jewels of Vanuatu. They are kind , thoughtful, caring family people who always came to your rescue. Our entire stay at Quest Apartments was relaxed, calm, and we felt very safe and well cared for. They helped us plan our days of activities and included us into their own family activities. I will be boasting about the exceptional care we received from this beautiful couple for a very long time.
Thank you Maggie and Allan for making our first experience of Vanuatu a special one.

we stayed here for two nights for $99.
It is not the Quest Apartments chain that we knew about, therefore, rooms were different.
Lovely front yard.
Excellent hospitality and very very friendly hosts. Maggie and Allan will provide you a lot of information on travelling around Vanuatu and a lot of helpful hints. They can organise a hire van for you. We chose to stay here also because we could cook at the facility (although we didn't). Maggie kept the bags for us as we went away for an overnight trip. That was very kind of her. Tropical Breakfast was provided - some fruits, cereal, toast, and easio berries yoghurt. I liked the granola!

They do provide free internet but it was very very slow (?128k) and will log you out every 30mins.

There were a few suggestions for the quality of the room
- would be nice if the air con was not next to the bed so that either side of the bed will not get cold air.
- proper blankets to put on bed.
- proper blinds and curtains to cover all windows to block strong sunlight in the morning. we woke up at around 5 ish every morning. Curtains to block lights came from outside through the kitchen windows would be good.
- stop the bed from moving
- internet to be just a fraction faster, and re login every hour instead of every 30mins.

Room Tip: Curtain/blinds to block sunlight!

Hi Tofuzaps, thank you for your review.
Our rates at $99pn is very competetive and we strive to supply true Value for Money.

Vanuatu does have very slow internet and is expensive. We pay $600pm, which is about 10 times the price of Australia. Our Free Wifi has a 30 minute session limit, to try and stop guests downloading music and movies which they are used to doing in Australia. We have found 30 minutes is still fine to send/receive emails, minor web browsing and updating Facebook etc.
On the 15th January, Vanuatu will have a new fibre optic cable connected to Fiji will be completed and maybe much faster internet then.

Sorry to hear about the sunlight waking you in the mornings. Our vertical binds are designed for privacy and not total blockout of sun. Being a hot humid country, we can't have curtains, as they would become mouldy quickly.

I am surprised to hear our airconditioning was too cold for you. Normally our guests crank up the aircond full in the hotter months. We do have quilts available in the colder months, May to October. These are stored at other times in vacumm sealed bags to remove any possibility of mould. All hot humid countries have this problem and we all stay on top of it.

Your bed might have moved if it had come off the cups under the wheels, again apology for this, we will notify house maids.

Again, thank you for staying with us and hope you enjoyed Quest and Vanuatu

Allan, Maggie & Daniel, our Quest Apartments hosts, were the friendliest and most hospitable people I have ever encountered. Nothing was ever a problem and they went out of their way to make sure we had a good time during our stay over Xmas in Vanuatu. Their knowledge of the area, customs & expected prices to pay was invaluable to us. Lee & I specifically enjoyed the Happy Hour whilst overlooking the golf course adjacent and the lagoon and talking about our days adventures with our hosts. Honestly, if anyone is looking for the most friendliest hosts and the most hospitable people to boot, this is the place for you. They went out of their way to assist us even on xmas day and on the Saturday we left. The rooms were very clean and serviced even on xmas day and family day 26th Dec and for the prices, it was excellent value. When Allan finishes the heart shaped pool very soon, it will be an excellent addition to a wonderful and memorable stay in Vanuatu

Room Tip: We had an original room in the middle complex and then one at the front on the road both were quiet

Allan, Maggie and Daniel are the friendliest, most helpful and conscientious hosts you could ever hope to meet. They made our first trip to Vanuatu a very memorable one. They did everything possible to ensure we had a great stay. Daniel is the same age as our 6yr old daughter, and he was very good at sharing his things and playing with our daughter.

The property is not the most modern, but at the same time it's all very clean and functioning. We found it to be the perfect choice for an inexpensive holiday. They provide excellent, modestly priced, home cooked meals most days that mean you don't have to spend a lot of money dining at restaurants every day if you don't want to.

They also offer car rental with some of their tariffs, which makes it very cheap to have your own transport.

We would definitely recommend Quest Apartments to others, and would stay there again ourselves.

A thoroughly enjoyable and stress free week in relaxing and friendly surroundings. Maggie and Allan are consummate hosts for whom nothing is too much trouble. Great to have their local knowledge, advice - and a necessary driving lesson from Allan on how to avoid potholes! We especially appreciated the evening meals - great value home cooking without the hassle! Would recommend Quest to any friends considering a holiday in Vanuatu.

We had an early morning checkin at 3am and everything was taken care so that we could have a nice sleep.

Maggie & Allan were very helpful to organise our stay in Vanuatu.

The appt were spacious and comfortable.

We had the special deal which had car rental as part of the booking.

We got pickup van as there were no other vehicles and that wasn't the most comfortable thing as the roads are pretty bumpy.

Maggie took good care of us and made us feel at home.
