“Good wraps and pies and of course the view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2013

Do not order the very over priced mains, but instead opt for one of the wraps (I had spiced prawns), or a very cute beef pie on a platter with chutney. Accompanied with a refreshing lime juice, and the summit breeze, this cafe is worth the drive from town. Service can be a bit hit or miss, sometimes difficult to get a follow up to ordr another lime juice (this is our 3rd visit to the Summit), but overall a pleasant experience.

“Stunning views and surroundings, lovely staff, great pies, but also bad pizzas and overpriced main courses.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

We have here a nice cafe in a perfect setting.
Being located high up, perched on the skirts of a beautiful tropical garden this place has everything working for it, but requires some attention in the kitchen.
The staff is very nice , however i noticed at every of my visit that they don't follow up on the customers once the meals are served...one as to literately make some smoke signal to get their attention, as well as reminded them 3 or 4 times that you ordered something extra. But hey this island time after all.

Some of the items are well priced and taste great, such as the pies and cakes.
The pizza should be avoided though. Shame because they have a great wood fire oven, so one would expect a great pizza. Sadly not. The dough base is all wrong, and toppings and sauces come out on the dry side. To the manager, i would say, please get a a chef who can actually make pizzas just like in southern France or Italy and you will have an even better place.

The rest of the menu looks nice but like many places in Vila, way too overpriced.
I know that a certain clientelle such as wealthy aussies gold coast wifes are very happy to come chitchat around an expensive meal as their hubby are paying it all, but not the rest of the expat community of Port Vila.
In short this is Port vila, not Paris, London or Sydney.
3000 vt for a main in a cafe is way too much. the mains are tasty but hey this is a cafe not the havannah restaurant which by the way is way cheaper than this place and truly 5 stars food...something to reflect on for the owners.

I for one as a Masterchef make sure that the restaurant i train chefs all over the pacific region do not price anything over 20 $, even though some of them are located on remote island.
The food is still top notch with high and consistent menus and the price stay as everyone pocket access. I wish Port Vila restaurant manager would follow up on this.

Having said that, by all means please got visit this charming place, leave the expensive meals for the rich and famous and have a meat pie instead, a coffee and relax. It is the perfect place for that, not mentioning the view which is amazing.

“My experience was very positive.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

Wonderful atmosphere and beautiful scenery, very relaxing and peaceful. Great tea and food. The options for sandalwood oils, candles and many other products was very impressive. Really enjoyed our time. Family of 5 adults and two small children. Fun for all.

“Beautiful and Delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

The view was beautiful and the food was delicious. I would reccomend the tea for one and get the summit tisane and a piece of cake for 600 vatu. They also had a delicous pumpkin and coconut milk soup that was fantastic. Overall it was a lovely meal.

“Expensive cafe”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013

A bit of a drive but a pleasant enough place. Original pricing structure put us and many others off. Cafe is expensive and OK. Cool teapots.
