this was our second trip to mangoes in two years. on this occassion we had our wedding reception at the resort, we could not stay this time as we travelled with family with children and wanted to stay together. Don't get me wrong the adult only thing is fantastic and made our first trip very special and private. Mangoes was a superior property to the one we did stay and we will return to mangoes again.

Despite us not staying on this occassions mangoes went out of their way to provide us with excellent service and a sensational setting and food for our wedding reception, at no extra cost. Our table was set perfectly and the staff make you feel very welcome and special.

The resort is in a wonderful setting and very private from the other guests, it is well maintained and clean, nothing was too much effort. They helped organise trips and their staff are so friendly.

thank you so much mangoes for looking after us so well and not to mention the yummy food.

We stayed at Mangoes for 7 nights and enjoyed ourselves very much. We stayed in a Lagoon Bungalow which was lovely. It was serviced every day , with clean towels, bed made, shampoo/conditioner and soap. They also left fresh hibiscus flowers on your bedside table and kitchen table every morning which was a lovely touch. We were greeted as we arrived and sat down in the restaurant and given information about where town was etc. After reading several negative reviews before we left for Vanuatu, I was wishing we hadn't booked there, but I can assure you that it is a lovely relaxing place to stay and you get well looked after. We found the continental breakfast fine. We didn't order the museli one as we brought own own museli from NZ. We ordered the fruit and yoghurt and the toast and my husband and I shared which worked well. We did take some noodles and special treats from NZ, which was quite good, especially as we arrived on the Sunday and there are no shops open and the restaurant prices were a bit too pricey for us. Anyway I can recommend Mangoes to you for a nice quiet relaxed time away.

Perched on a hill overlooking a magnificent lagoon sits one of the most beautiful resorts in Port Vila- Mangoes. And such perfect location too, with just a 15minute downhill walk to the centre of town.

Upon check-in we were ushered off to our villa equipped with a private bathroom, balcony, kitchenette and an extremely comfortable bed.

With the a very accommodating resort team on hand no request was too hard. From a lazy afternoon cocktail beside the pool to a full 3 course meal delivered right to our room accompanied with flowers and candles. We felt very looked after.

We were able to slip off to a world of our own and completely relax.

If you ever go to Port Vila, you need not look any further- book your stay at Mangoes.

Well first of all, the service was outstanding. Rosalind and Her team were fantastic, and all the staff are so friendly it blew me away.

The resort was picture perfect, Our Bungalow was immaculately clean and serviced every morning if we wished.

Even though the resort was a 15 minute walk from the city centre, it was a comfortable walk through Port villa. The City had a rough exterior, but locals were very friendly and we didn’t mind venturing out after dark.

We found that there great sense of welcome, and a very relaxing “nothings a problem” feel throughout our stay at Mangoes Resort.

We certainly look forward to staying again as soon as possible.

Thanks again Mangoes team.
Carmen & Jared.

We booked our stay at Mangoes resort hoping for 10 days of relaxation after a very stressful year.
What we got was a once-in-a-lifetime experience which reminded us what relaxation really was.

From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the wide smiles of the beautiful staff, to our last night when a romantic dinner was prepared on the porch of our villa complete with candles, music and native flora (we can never thank you enough for this, it was just perfect).

Mangoes resort is just impeccable with incredibly helpful and friendly staff.
We are so grateful that we found you and thank you so much for a wonderful holiday.

We have already recommended you to all of our friends and family, and hope to see you again ourselves in the not-too-distant future

Robert and Daniel

We have just come back from a week at Mangoes, reading previous reports I would agree with them. Its a lovely intimate resort in a garden setting, the rooms are adequate ours was a garden view and most rooms overlooked one of the pools or had a pool of their own, we would have liked more light in the room but I understand that the darkness is part of how you keep your rooms cool, we only had ceiling fans no air con and for this time of year was OK.
The included breakfast was pretty miserly and for all but two days there was no mueseli available so it was toast or croissants (bread ones not real croissants). and when muesli was available it was just a very small portion with a heap of watermelon and not the bircher mueseli on the menu. I thought they should have offered alternative cereal. We purchased a bigger breakfast a few days. We had lunch there one day which was Ok and nicely presented nothing flash.
The room just had a fridge a jug and a couple of cups to make tea, there were just two tea bags and a few sachets of coffee so glad I took my own tea. No cloth to wipe up spills or anything to wash the cups with.
Staff are excellent and want to please you, the gardeners work hard and have grounds to be proud of.
We were a bit annoyed when the owners childern came screaming and shouting through the resort early on Saturday morning and woke us up, we chose that resort for the no children allowed but some rules dont apply to owners kids?
Also the owners dog came through the resort regular as clockwork about 5.30am and seemed to like running round the outside of our room to get to where it was going. This was probably the time the owners showed up for the start of their day. I don't get woken at this time when I go to work and do'nt expect it on holiday so that part was the only dissapointment so please owners keep your kids and dogs of the property.
We stayed at Le Lagon last time in Vauatu and would choose another resort if we went
again that is near to the lagoon or sea where you can swim and walk Mangoes is small and only pathways lead to other rooms so not a place you can stroll round.
The old buses/vans are a challenge- dont wear good clothes.
This is a good place to really chill out and do nothing

I stayed for a week at Mangoes Resort and it wasn't long enough.
The resort is picture perfect, the room I stayed in was beautiful and I had my own private pool. There are large pools throughout the resort with fresh flowers decorating them - a lovely touch.
The staff were very friendly and the management were very helpful, they gave me advice on where to go and how to get around the island. I went to some beautiful places that I wouldn't have known about if it wasn't for the management's help.
The restaurant at Mangoes was great, the food was amazing (try the spring rolls!) and the staff were very friendly.
The resort is a short walk from the centre of town and the views are beautiful.
The rooms around me seemed to all be full but the resort was so nice and quiet, perfect for a relaxing get away.
I will definately be planning another trip to Mangoes next year!
