“Instant relaxation.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

Stayed for a week late August. Had an upstairs studio room which we had requested. Great view of the pool and lagoon and sea. Everything was clean. Kitchenette was basic but adequate. Staff very friendly and organised excursions and guests seems to enjoy their recommendations. Excellent free wi-fi. Pool area is lovely and we enjoyed using the kayaks. Only negative was that hot water ran cool at night, but hopefully that is fixed by now. Good washing machine and tumble drier available for a small charge.
Never had to wait more than 90secs for a bus into town. They generally look ramshackle, but the roads are so potholed that they can't go fast enough to get into trouble!
The resort has small shop, but its very cleverly stocked with basic provisions including wine and beer. There is a local shop about 200m towards Breakas which is good for bread and extras. If a lady has set up a table next to the shop selling local bread, you must try it. Absolutely delicious. Bon march supermarket in no2 district has an excellent butchery and French groceries. We barbecued fantastic scotch filet for 1080vatu/kg (same price for rump or sirloin). Leader price supermarket no2 is best for nz and aus brands. Groceries are expensive, but no more so than other pacific islands. I was impressed with the uptodate selection of Dvd's for hire at reception.
Would highly recommend day trip to hideaway island for snorkelling, which includes lunch and snorkel safari and glassbottomed boat trip (reception will book). It's very good value and not worth the hassle of organising your own transport.
This is not a full amenities resort, so will not suit if you want night life and action! But for a relaxing break it fits the bill perfectly.

Room Tip: Prefer upstairs studio room- can leave damp things on the airer (provided) when you go out, and you...

Stay 8 nights in a one bedroom apartment, full kitchen stunning views (room211) across to erakor island and pool area. We were in an upstairs unit just five metres from the tide. Bit noisy at night with the waves rolling in kinda sounds like a storm outside. Room clean and good furnishings lovely deck area. No laundry in room but for a small fee there is a washing machine and dryer downstairs. Pool great not many deck chairs but enough. Staff friendly. Tv and stereo in room. Bed comfy. Change towels every three days but tidy your room daily. Would have preferred towels changed each day. Cost $1.50 for van into town each way takes ten minutes. They stop at gate every few minutes. Short walk to free ferry that takes you to erakor island. Short walk to breakas resort if you want to dine out locally.

Room Tip: All rooms get water view but one bedroom on ocean front the pick if your budget allows

Although we had three room moves during our 9 day stay each unit had views and we enjoyed them all. Our favourite was the 2 bedroom apartment - really spacious and well equipped. The staff were sooo friendly and helpful.

Our kids loved the pool and we did use the boats in the cove. It was also walking distance to the Warwick if you wanted to go there to eat.

We would stay here again.

Room Tip: Grab the two bedroom apartment if you are a family travelling.

Nasama is a newly constructed set of two story apartments. There are studio, one bedroom and two bedroom apartment buildings. The pool is central and the ground floor apartments allow easy level walking access to the pool area. This is great for families with young children and the lower splash pool is very shallow.

The rooms are really spacious, cooking facilities are provided so it is very easy to eat in.

The balconies are also large and separated from your neighbour by a high partition but noise can still carry over the top.

Staff are super friendly. WiFi worked well.

Beach is good with the few thatched umbrellas provided nice shade, There is a small swimming hole with a sandy bottom created out of the coral but it would somewhat adventurous to try any snorkelling as there wasn't a lot of depth above the coral shelf. We didn't see anyone attempt this. Kayaking was popular.

Transport into town or the supermarket was easy and frequent.

Room Tip: Studios are very well located with sunny balconies and views over the pool and beach to the lagoon...

If you are looking for the above. Nasama Resort is for you. Have just returned from a weeks family vacation. We had two studio apartments . Wonderful welcome when we arrived. ALL staff delightful and nothing too much trouble. The admin staff were very helpful with booking trips etc. the units were very comfortable including the beds.Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this resort . The local buses pass by every five mins made going places cheap and easy.

Room Tip: We had units. 108 and 109. Ground floor near the sea. Fantastic view and private patio very shelter...

We stayed in a group of 3. The room was great. Full kitchen and a BBQ on site. No phones but free wi fi. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Not
Much of a beach but not a problem as you are close enuf to town and erakor island. Not for those who want a ritzy resort experience but perfect for every thing else.

I recently stayed with a friend of mine at the resort after buying a package with Expedia.
It is located about 2 km out of port vila. Do not get talked into taking taxi rides. Mini buses call past very frequently at a cost of 150 vatu each ($1.50) to get into the town centre.
The resort itself is 4-5 star, but still to me appears to be a work in progress. The finishings are not at the same standard as other resorts.
The grounds and walkways are all gravel and the gardens whilst established, could be improved. The smell of blood and bone for five of our 7 day stay was not appreciated.
The pool is a lovely area. A white sandy beach with lounge recliners makes it easy to be relaxed here, but don't expect waiting service as there is no bar at this resort.
The nightlife is very quiet in Vanuatu and at the resort but the adult only resort 700 mtr away Breakas has a lovely restaurant and bar facilities.
Our room itself was on the ground floor and apart from having to get the blinds fixed, well appointed. However, the beds were not particularly comfortable! (A thai massage in town helped!)
Snorkelling is not really appropriate from the resort itself but the staff in reception will be able to advise the best places to go on Vanuatu. I recommend Erakor Island. A lovely spot for lounging and snorkelling for the day.
Airport transfer is expensive. Do try and negotiate with a local minibus driver to get back from the resort rather than pay the return fee.
If able to request, noise from top floor rooms can be annoying.

Room Tip: top floor the best
