“No problems!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013 via mobile

We were referred to adventures in paradise by a friend. We walked in off the street on our third last day of holidays and asked if there was any tours we can do on our last couple of days. We managed to book in 3 tours with them. One to cascade waterfalls, one to a Melanesian feast at Ekasup Cultural Village and also a full day tour around Efate. We manage to fit in the Cascade Waterfalls and Feast for that afternoon and the full day tour for the next.

All the staff were friendly and understood what we wanted. We paid in cash which was easier than paying by card and all tours arrived on time and were great fun. Will definitely use them again on our next trip to vanuatu!

“No tours on cruise ship days!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

We arrived vanuatu at about 1am and were picked up by Adventures in Paradise the guys were really nice and the process was very quick to find them, check in and hope in the bus. Upon arriving to vanuatu we had prebooked all of our tours through adventures in paradise. When we got to out hotel at about 2am we had a letter saying that we were getting picked up at 9am for an absailing down the cascades tour. We had booked this tour for friday later on in the week so we called them from the front desk in the morning to advise them that we had not booked on this day and wanted it back on the friday as originally planned as we had other tours booked seperatly on the monday. While on the phone to the gentleman from AIP I confirmed all of the other tours, their days the the times, whether we got picked up or had to meet them somewhere. This was a long conversation as they don't speak the best english. On the friday we called in the morning to confirm that we were getting picked up at 9am for the cascades tour only to be told that they do not operate tours on days when the cruise ship is in. This tour had been booked and paid for 3 months in advance and we were never once told this. We went in to see them at the office and I was basically told that I should of known this, that I did not speak to anyone on the Monday and I won't be getting a refund as it od my fault. Luckily I have proof of being advised what time and dates all of our tours were and are in the process of getting a refund. If travelling to Port Villa I recommend not booking or paying for any tours before going over as they change the dates and times and are not required to advise you

“They ripped us off to the tune of $1750”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

After getting our tour bookings wrong, Adventures in Paradise made us go back in to their Port Villa office to amend and correct the bookings. This process took almost an hour. The amended bookings resulted in our having to pay approximately $250 more. Instead of charging us the difference, they INSISTED that they would refund the original amount and charge the new amount to our card. Despite strong protests from us, we were told by several 'helpers' that this was the only way.

Upon getting back to Australia we found that the refund had not been processed (we still have the EFTPOS receipt) yet both charges were processed. This company owes us $1750; now we're forced down the path of disputing the original transaction through our bank.

DO NOT TRUST ADVENTURES IN PARADISE. They are thieves who will rip you off.

“Stay Well Clear of this Outfit”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

After using transfer companies all over the world this outfit is without doubt the worst. After clearing customs in a reasonable time we were told by Adventures in Paradise staff to stay in the terminal as they were waiting for 2 other people. We stood and watched the airport empty and after 45 minutes we were the last ones left. The staff took us to our bus and we found we were the only party travelling. When we asked about the other 2 people we were informed they had gone on the other bus which had already left. Not a great start and so disorganised. On the way to our accommodation the driver "lectured" us about being on time for our departure journey as they "would not wait even 1 minute and if we missed the bus we would have to organise our own transport". As we alighted from the bus on our arrival at our accommodation he once again reminded us to be on time. The day before our departure we were advised we would be picked up 3 hours before the flight. Given we were 10 minutes from the airport we queried the time and were advised the time was non negotiable. As there are other companies who do this work I will be urging my travel agent not to use this company, they are just not user friendly or have any idea about customer service or relations. Fortunately the rest of our stay in Vanuatu was lovely.

“Adventures in Paradise we really helpful to us!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2009

Our travel agent had arranged Adventures in Paradise to collect us from the airport and deliver us to the sebel and return to the airport, which happened really smoothly.

Whilst in town we wandered into their office and enquired about and around the island tour that they had offered in their brochure - as we were paying in cash (vatu) we were given a discount of 520 vatu each. We booked the tour on Monday morning for the next day, but were told to call at 5pm to confirm if there were enough numbers for the tour to go ahead - we were told we would get a cash refund if it did not.

Whilst in the office we saw a brochure for a tour and dinner to the secret garden (near mele cascades) it was not an atmosphere operated tour but they rang up and booked us on it anyway

The round island tour itself was amazing and well worth the money. We were picked up promptly at 8.45am and returned promptly at 4.45pm to the hotel.

We certainly had a good experience with the agency and its staff working there and would definately recommend them.
