We stayed 14 nights at the Landmark Marina during February and March. We also considered other hotels but decided to go with Landmark because of the convenient location next to Fish ‘n Fins, something we did not regret. It was nice just being able to come and go as we pleased, not having to wait for a bus to pick you up or take you back to your hotel. Diving was the main reason we came to Palau so we wouldn’t be spending much time at the hotel anyway.
The room was spacious and clean. You get two bottles of fresh water every day and there are coffee and tea making facilities. Wired internet is also available at no extra costs. As mentioned before the only downside to the room is that there are no chairs on the balcony to dry stuff on (like our beach towels).
Breakfast and dinner were basic but fine. Dinner prices are also pretty reasonable, also compared to other restaurants in the city (between $8 and $15 for most items on the menu). We had dinner here most of our evenings. The staff was always friendly and helpful.
We personally never had any nuisance from the dump that is located near the hotel. Nor did the sound of the compressor bother us at night (though the noise is audible). The walk from the hotel to the nearest ATM (Bank of Hawaii) took us about 10 minutes. One time we walked all the way to the T-Dock which took us about 40 minutes. In our opinion a lot of restaurants and shops are within walking distance.
If we ever decide to go back to Palau we would definitely stay in this hotel again.
