“L'Edzen”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

We arrived the day before and went to Bilboquet as recommended in Lonely Planet. Very ordinary meal. But on the way home passed L'Edzen, so stopped in to see what the menu was like... and so booked in for the next evening. It was fantastic. I had the seared tuna which melted in your mouth. Trev had the rissotto trio, which was so creamy each topping (scallops, wild mushrooms and seafood) perfectly matched the rice. Bob had a the chef's surprise... not actually on the menu but Bob ask the waitress for whatever the Chef recommended. The dish was a duo of seared beef and crispy duck with potato mashed with banana. All washed down with the waitress's red wine recommendation. Superb food and relaxing atmosphere. And the interesting bit was it cost less than the night before! Where ever you are staying in Noumea I highly recommend L'Edzen.

“trendy but expensive”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

a cosy villa nested in a balinese style garden.
Food fresh and tasty, but really too expensive for what they serve.

“Little Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

We only found this little gem of a restaurant after being directed by a wonderful boutique owner around the corner in Grand Terre. Set in a "Zen" like garden the food was outstanding. The burger with foie gras was special if slightly overpowering for the kids. We had a lovely bottle of wine and an amazing antipasto plate to share. It was frequented by very well dressed locals, ladies who lunch. Thoroughly recommend it.
