This is a family run restaurant and small hotel. It is under a bit of renovation so crowds are down a bit. I was the only diner there the other night but there were several locals doing pick-up. I had a chicken korma wrap and it was quite decent. The menu is disturbingly large. It brings into question the freshness of the preparation. I found the "chicken cooked in tongue tickling sauce and wrapped in a roti" very good. As you walk up to the place you may start to doubt your choice, but push on and order some good food. There are mny neighborhood restaurants of this nature in Paramaribo. This is worth a visit.
Tip... if you are staying at the Marriott, it is about a ten minute walk, but *do not* walk up the street immediately across the road from the marriott especially after dark. There are several large territorial dogs, some loose, that guard a house in the first block. No issue after that so go a block towards town and walk up that road. You can always spend a couple dollars and taxi it.
