“An amazing experience!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013 via mobile

My group and I have visited Guyana on business several times in the recent past, we had chosen to stay at a different hotel each time due to the substandard service and conditions with which we encountered. This experience at Halito has completely changed our perspective of visiting Guyana. We were all blown away by the warm and welcoming reception that received us, then when shown to our rooms we were stunned at the elegant decor of the rooms. The service was impeccable, the staff just couldn't do enough, they were all pleasant and always available to assist. Further the food was top quality, we never expected to receive such amazing service and high standards in this country and we will recommend anyone visiting Guyana to stay at this facility, it will be worth it.

While in Barbados on a 4 day vacation ,we met some of the locals who insist we visit Guyana , so we take up they offer and did not regret it. we had no kind of hotel reservations so our driver from the airport was giving us a city tour, we happen to pass by Halito Hotel & Residence This hotel is a true oasis. Location is perfect, We stayed here for 4 nights in total at the beginning and end of our vacation. The staff here are amazing and so friendly - they went they way to accommodate us, mindful we had no reservations the staffs cannot do enough for you. Miss Indira should be proud of herself and team here as they have created an wonderful establishment.
The hotel is less than a 10-minute walk to the St Georges cathedral one of tallest wooden church in the world .and to shopping areas, and also is next door to the promenade gardens of Guyana is so amazing our many beautiful sunny afternoon spend in the garden soaking up the sun.
The rooms.
we stayed in a single room the first night and then we moved to an double room.(single rooms was fully book) Both rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean and well décor and attractive, or we say adornment, and so where the bathrooms, which were relatively new, since the whole building was refurbished not very long ago. The bed is comfortable with a great night sleep and there is a small desk where you can work with your laptop or if you need to use the business center, Amenities are provided

The Halito Hotel & Residence breakfast includes a hot beverage (coffee, a selection of teas, hot chocolate, freshly squeezed orange juice ,croissant ,wheat/white pieces of toast accompanied with a selection of eggs/ cheese and jams or honey

Here comes the best part, we had dinner at bistro 176 in Halito Hotel 1st floor the food is awesome, we try the steak/prawns /Cajun chicken the food was so fresh well homemade prepare( like we say mamas kitchen) ,it was worth waiting for.
we were invite to bistro 176 bar on the same floor by some guests sitting in the restaurant next to us. we had couple of banks beer (never knew it was originate from Guyana) always thought was Barbados, drinks was off the hook, and very nice and friendly atmosphere that goes along with guest at the bar, guests are welcomed, minded carefully, given great advice about what to do, where to go, all in all good old fashioned hospitality is available in spades in this Halito hotel & Residence one where the family extends to and includes all of the staff, who take absolute pride in the hotel, what they do and the service the provide.
Thank you Halito hotel & Residence & staff form the Great Hospitality will definite recommend this hotel to our co-workers and family

Room Tip: one with the gardens in view
